What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

Watched " bye bye Barry"on Prime. if you were a Barry Sanders fan or just a football fan in general I recommend giving it a watch.

 

Just added Paramount+ because our phone plan gave us 6 months for free.

Watched "Reacher - Never Go Back" with Tom Cruise. (2016)

 

A Night at the Opera (1935). Tubi. My first Marx brothers film and I did not find them all that funny. I liked Harpo who was entertaining as a musician.

 

The new Shogun. Saw the original in real time (1970's), but this one was superior to that. Much less Hollywoody

 

That was okay, the series is much better I think

 

Almost done with this too. Really enjoying it. I also just finished the gentlemen which I liked a lot too

 

Chinatown (1974). Paramount+. Good film. It is based in the 1930s and they had a good budget to show so many cool vehicles from that era.

Psycho (1960). Prime. Awesome film by Hitchcock. I have resisted watching this film because I’m a scary cat - The Birds scarred me when I saw it in my middle school years. But this film was not the horror flick I thought it would be. Good all around.

 

Just finished Euphoria on MAX. Enjoyed it a lot and look forward to the third season

Planet of the Apes (1968). Hulu. I've seen this movie several times but never the first ten minutes until last night. someone can correct me if I noticed this detail correctly - the movie opens with Taylor recording a message for the record. He says the ship is an hour away from completing a six month mission into deep space yet he gets into his sleeping pod to hibernate. If they were an hour away from completing their mission, I would think he’d be waking up the other astronauts to prepare for landing. Did I miss something?

The Lady Vanishes (1938). An earlier Hitchcock. It felt slow at first but builds up and finishes well.

 

The Killers (1956). Free Movie Classics. Burt Lancaster’s film debut, and a good one.

 

Re-watching House of the Dragon in preparation for season two next month

 

M (1931). Max. Very well done crime thriller.

Barry. Max. Completed season 2, on to #3.

 

Barry was awesome, great dark comedy/drama. I was surprised I hadn't heard much of it before

Sarah had nice rifle collection in one of her rooms in her mansion after spirit connected her to draw the plan for the gun collection room.

I looked it up online and that mansion is open for tours... Interesting. Maybe I go out to west to take a look at mansion someday.

soooo many things wrong with that movie.
took me about 3 days to get through it.
dumb and "hand wavey" stuff

 

Black Sails. It’s pretty good for a pirate soap opera.
