Somewhere in Time (1980). Hulu. Good cast but was under-impressed with the storyline and the love story.

The Endless (2017). Tubi. An indie low budget time travel flick. It was OK. The special effects it had looked good, wished it had more.

High and Low (1963). Max. A Japanese crime drama. A bit too long but a very good watch otherwise.

It's a good story, but it's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG read. He's a bit repetitious in some ways.

Just finished Department Q tonight. Interesting show. Doesn't have the action US detective shows have.

Wild Strawberries (1957). Max. I was expecting a slow boring film. I was pleasantly surprised that it wouldn’t let me wander off. A film every adult should watch once in their lifetime.

8 1/2 (1963). Max. Acting was good but I found very little entertaining value in the storyline - in other words, this acclaimed film bored me.

Never seen them before. Pretty good, they both move right along and kept my attention. Some very unbelievable magic in the 2nd

Danielle Radcliffe must have been cast for his accent alone in #2.

Dubbed, shot in Valencia. Have about 30mins left in the 2h movie. Keeps one’s interest with how wild a woman can be. Men are not the only pigs in this world

Ikiru (1952). Max. A sad but uplifting and near brilliant acclaimed film by Kurosawa.

Living (2022). Hulu. The British remake of Ikiru. Except for the soundtrack, the remake is subpar but watchable. It is 40 minutes shorter and feels rushed.

Ugetsu (1953). Max. Another acclaimed Japanese drama film I could pass on. Bored me but for the last ten minutes or so.

    F1 Academy. Netflix

    OK Interesting. But 10000000% FRUSTRATING.

Start with the girls are good drivers. Let's not go all Danica Patrick. The concept is cool.

    1) They never show the complete finishing order of each race.
    2) They never show all the girls and jump all over the place.
    3) They spend so much time on the pretty girls. I mean come on. The point here is what?

Anyway, you have been warned. Not much good shows streaming.

I like what @Chuy posted, will watch some of those tonight. Thanks!

surprised at how bad it was with such a strong cast and director (Guy Ritchie). Felt like a greatest hits mashup of Indiana Jones, The Mummy and Da Vinci Code.

The Very First Two Hours of MTV. Speedster, Youtube channel. This footage includes the commercials and technical glitches. Launched Aug 1, 1981, I had just finished my HS freshman year. You can imagine the impact MTV had on an impressionable nerd the next ten years or so.

The Wages of Fear (1953). Max. An acclaimed French film. The characters and suspense are good but the movie was way too long and with many WTF moments.

Le Samourai (1967). Max. An acclaimed French crime thriller. A hitman is chased by the police and those that hired him for a hit. The film is credited for the modern depiction of a hitman as a cool, intelligent, antihero assassin.

Network (1976]. Archive.org. Good drama flick about a newsroom on UBC, a fictitious network. The great cast won three Oscars in acting categories.

About Time (2013). Archive, org. A heartwarming time travel film, but with the lamest time travel mechanism - only a family’s male lineage can time travel to the past, and to do so, they clinch their fists in a small dark room, close their eyes, and think of what time period they want to go to.

Source Code (2011). Peacock. Cheesy train derailment special effects; otherwise, I really enjoyed this film and storyline with very good cast.

Time after Time (1979). Prime. An ok film about Jack the Ripper ‘car jacking’ a time machine to go to San Francisco in 1979.

Kate & Leoplold (2001). PlutoTV. A lovey dovey time travel film - I enjoyed it. Liev was funny.
