Unless you watch MLS, or have it free or know some other shows (there are some good ones in the past) I would NOT get it just for this. No way. I don't want to criticize the show too much but it's the usual Hollywood fantasy history. Almost like white people are the dumbest, yet weakest, most vicious humans with zero morals except greed, all other races are passive players on earth and Hawaiians are far superior (even though they depict some brutality). Example, he is bewildered by the slave trade, but little known fact, Hawaiians were no better, they had slaves and treated them quite nastily.

Apple TV is relatively new and doesn't have the content library that HBO/Max, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount, etc have yet. But there are a few good series on there that I've really enjoyed so far. I'd say it's worth the free week trial and then deciding from there.

Ted Lasso is definitely worth bingeing. Slow Horses is a really good British spy show on there. Severance is really popular. Silo is a solid sci fi series. The mini series Black Bird was exceptional

Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World (2017). Tubi. Good documentary spot lighting the native Americans that have contributed to rock n roll (incl hard rock and metal.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012). HBO. Among the better coming-of-age movies, and handles well a delicate subject matter.

Us (2019). Netflix. I did not find this horror flick scary/frightening at all, but it was a good watch.

The Player (1992). HBO. That was entertaining. Was not expecting so many cameos.

Sunshine Cleaning (2009). Tubi. Little gem of a movie with interesting subject matter. With Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, and Alan Arkin (whom my daughter got to meet informally in the last months of his life).

Hobbs and Shaw (Netflix): Very late to this party but great comedy!
Fixed (Netflix): per a members recommendation, gotta love crude cartoons lol

You had me at Emily Blunt. There has not been a movie she was in that I didn't like. Will give these two and Rumble a try this week.

Amy is the main lead but Emily has a lot of screen time. They worked well together, I wonder if they did anything else together. I really liked Emily in Edge of Tomorrow.

Been rewatching Banshee (HBO, though it was originally on Cinemax). I enjoy it though it's a little (or a lot) over the top at times.

Definitely reminds me why Cinemax used to be nicknamed Skin-emax, damn

Better Off Dead (1985). HBO. Silly 80’s semi coming of age. Becoming a cult classic.

Fantastic Planet (1973). HBO. The Draags are a drag. What a peculiar French animation. Another cult status film.

Scanners (1981). HBO. Hokey storyline but graphic special effects have helped Scanners reach film cult status.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire. (2019). HBO. A bit dragged out but very well made french romance.

Tree of Life (2011). HBO. Great performances from Pitt and Chastain but questionable sequences like all the cosmos and dinosaur stuff.
