Don't get me wrong... it's entertaining to see all the responses.

And yeah, it would get repetitive, that's why I went with the four albums that shaped my life from my first memories of listening to music.

I have many many Desert Island albums, but here are a few:

Metallica: ...And Justice For All; The Marshall Tucker Band: Stompin' Room Only (Live); Rush: Power Windows; Candlebox: Self titled; Led Zeppelin: entire catalog

limiting it to 3 seems arbitrary, what medium are these three albums and how am I able to listen to them?

    Logistics aside,

    Down - Nola
    Skinny Puppy - Last Rights
    Haujobb - Freeze Frame Reality

these 3 subject to change next month, next week, tomorrow, and in a minute or two.

I have asked this question to others before, but I only allowed them to listen to ONE album on the island. That's even harder because it really has to be something you can tolerate over and over, and for years. Only a small handful of albums can do that for a person.

Power via solar panel, and put it on iPad. That little built in speaker runs for days on a charge.

Only 3? that seems damn near impossible, but hear goes:

Hoodoo Gurus - Mars Needs Guitars
    Chameleons - Strange Times
    Lush - Ciao

8 Tracks!!! I remember them from the 70's. The beauty of 8 Tracks is that they continuously loop and you could party to them until you passed out, then when you finally came to hours later, they were still playing!!!

Very difficult to name 3. 1 & 2 were not so much of a challenge, the third spot was more of a challenge.

    For today's mood:
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbxtYqA6ypM
    Radiohead - In Rainbows

    U2 - The Joshua Tree

*edit: I like the High Fidelity reference. Great movie.
