3000 is about spot on for 4th gear with those tires and stock 3.73s at 70. That’s probably first thing to investigate.

Around 2600 @ 75 MPH sounds about right. I know it's more than my old ZR2, that sits right at 2200 at the same speed. The ZR2 has 373 gears and a 4 speed automatic, my Taco is manual.

Edit: ZR2 runs stock 31 inch tires, Taco has 265/70/17. Metric 32's? :notsure:

If you use ECT PWR button, it will increase power. I feel like ECT PWR is the real performance of the truck, and without it, the transmission is choking engine and holding it in gears for too long.

Yeah, just had it checked out, and my shop thinks there maybe a very serious tranny issue. Taking it to a transmission specialist tomorrow. Prayers appreciated....
