Vent visors, quality all-weather mats, bed mat.

Alternatively a lock actuator for the tailgate.

I have AVS in channel vent visors, Weather Tech mats and a custom 3/4 thick rubber mat ( originally out of an F150 cut down to fit the Tacoma, free is a great price)

I could list other things, but for gift giving, that's a solid bet.

How about a gift card for an OIL/Filter change........

Mods are typically a very personal choice. You may select a mod you think is the Cat's PJs, but the giftee thinks...meh

Whatever you get, keep the receipt. Just in case a return is needed.

Fun gifts could be tailgate letter inserts, anything from Meso (especially key fobs), and if you really want to spoil the person OVTune.

Probably too expensive as gifts, but the 3 upgrades that have been best/favorite for me are:

    - AT/MT tires (I run Duratracs)
    - Bed canopy and sleeping platform (Leer hi-top)
    - iPhone interface with factory stereo (Probably not an issue on the 2016, but it's the one thing I use all the time in my '07)

Honorable mention: Wet Okole seat covers.

It ultimately depends on how they use their truck, but these are 3 generic options that everyone could use for safety, insurance, and avoiding aggravation.

#1 - Integrated tailgate lock. I got mine from KTJoe before she was booted from the site. There are multiple kit options out there now though.

    #2 - Tailgate anti-theft device.

#3 - Front/rear dash cam. There are so many, but I went with a mid-range affordable option ( Rexing ).

If you are looking for a funny......get a pair of Fuzzy Dice to dangle from the rear view mirror or Garfield with suction cups to "hang" on the window.........

I really liked having the “Un-holey” phone mount with RAM mount. Also like center console organizer/cover, Meso goodies (gasshole, fob, chrome delete), TRD pro shift knob, TRD grille badge from Tacos4cheap on Etsy. Just some ideas that are less than $100.
Also like my bed rug XLT under my topper, bed stiffeners from All-PRO

    more than 3

For me, it’s probably the Tacoma TRD Pro fox shocks, Tacoma TRD pro/sport hood and OEM power tailgate lock.

Definitely the bed mat, if they don't already have one. The composite bed material is great, but very slick. I bought my '20 used and only had carpet floor mats so I bought the TRD Pro All Weather mats. They were same price as regular Tacoma AW mats and I just liked the design better. The TRD shift knob is also a good, relatively inexpensive mod that literally takes less than 2 minutes to install.
