Okay, So I'm gonna be buying tires for my 03 PreRunner TRD before the end of the year, and I need to know what you all would suggest. I really want an all terrain tire that handles well with moderate to low road noise but will still hold its own when I'm tooling around in the lake bed or in the woods (who doesn't, i know). Obviously I won't be driving on any trails past a 2 since I'm stock and this is my daily driver. Also good treadwear is important. I've looked at the Kumho RoadVenture AT KL-78 and BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A (skeptical of both) and I like the Pirelli Scorpion ATR and Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo but they are both pricey. Anybody got any suggestions/help or hookups where I could get a steal on some 265/75R16 tires?

I love the Destination A/T tires that I have (rain/snow/ice/mud/slush)!

I hadn't even looked at that one, thanks. BTW, how's the tread life?

I had these tires on a my 2007 2.7L Access Cab PreRunner for 10,000 miles. When I traded it in, I put the original crappy Dunlop Grandtrek AT20s back on. Then I put these tires on my 2008 Double Cab PreRunner. 17,000 miles later - they still have tons of tread on them (especially after a bunch of towing and hauling).

I have the 265/75/R16s, and I will buy these tires again.

awesome, you may have talked me into it, I don't know why I had just skipped over these previously. I have over 80K on my michelin ltx/ms tires now so needless to say, it's time to get some new ones. They've been great tires on the road but they have terrible wet traction now and i want something a little more agressive

Black Aries Bull Bar, Sirius Sat radio, trailer hitch and wire harness installed. Bridgestone Dueler revo 265/70R16 tires. K&N air filter. Bug deflector. Vent visors. PIAA fog lights. Nurf bars.
i have the bridgestone dueler revo tires, 265/70r16 ATs. i like these tires but have yet to see how they handle on snow. i had the winter tires, same brand though, and loved how they just stick to the snow and ice. i'll see how these ATs hold up on snow first to decide if i want the snow set. these are quite pricey i know that, but worth it i think.

The dueler revos are an excellent tire. I have 3 friends that swear by them. (of course, they make more money than I do. ;))

In my opinion- you can't beat the Dueler Revo's! They've got an aggressive look to them, but have almost no road noise for an A/T tire. I got mine from tires plus for about $149 a pop. Worth the price though.

I like the way those look. I think that would look pretty good on mine too if I go from 265/70 to 265/75. All you Revo guys, have any of you ever had the Firestones? I actually like the look of the Revo slightly better but it's hard to argue with 150 verses 115 a tire.

BFG's are more expensive than the Revo's...if you can't afford them- you sure can't affort BFG's. BFG's have A LOT more road noise than the Revo's.

I have never had the Firestone's. I went from stock Dunlops to the Revo

I like the look of the BFGs and I know they are a proven tire offroad, but they seem like an outdated tread design and I don't want that much road noise. Most importantly, they are really expensive

I have michelin A/T II's. So far i love them(only 3000mi on them), great in the snow and on wet roads. in my opinion they have better traction then bfg.went from bfg on my last truck which were good. the michelin's were right around the price of the bfg when i bought them then i got$80 off 4 at costco so the total cost was not too bad. also before i got them i researched the tread life and sounds like they should outlast the comp.

i had the kumhos and there were not that good poor traction, so i went with these mastercraft coursers at2 and there a much better tire and about $120 apiece installed. Good in rain and def. good in lake effect snow up here.
