Ok I have a 2010 Tacoma 4.0 auto trans 4x4. I’m going with Toyota ATF but which one do I use IV or WS? I’m not draining it completely just what comes out cold. Which I believe is about 3.5 qt

I’d start with a an empty drain pan.
Measure what comes out and put that much back in.
Plus extra if you plan to do it right and check it.

If you have problems getting in to temp check mode, at least you know you are close, if you put back the amount that comes out.

Remember, truck needs to be running to check it.
