    Just an update:

I couldn't find the old style amp moto extender. I ended up getting the readyramp, and unfortunately im not very happy with it.I just am not a fan of the mounting system. With two bikes in the bed the entire bottom part with the black sliders does't even sit on the bed. I'll update this thread with a picture next time I take the bikes out.

For you guys who have had experience with the Motogate - Is the net a fixed width?
Or is it 'floating' on the upper & lower straps ? In other words, can you slide the net in or out to make it smaller or larger?

I'm looking at this for a cargo divider (per say). If the net is fixed....the main motogate is too large. The Mini might be too small. !
    Thanks!

Any more thoughts on the ReadyRamp after some more time with it? I'm considering one for my DCSB hauling a Husky TE310 and a Yamaha 125. If it's going to end up sitting off the tailgate when I've got both bikes in, I may go with a Moto-Gate or something else.

I love my ready ramp. If you are loading longer bikes (I had to transport a cruiser once) and you have a 5ft bed, the ramp may not sit on the tail gate. That's OK with me.

Dang, now I'm torn between all 3 (ReadyRamp, Moto-Gate, AMP MotoXtender). I really like the idea of having the ramp fold and act as an extender.. saves some space in the bed when I'm hauling 2 bikes. If it doesn't sit too far off the gate, I might be able to get over it. If you're loading up one day and have some free time, give me a shout and maybe I could come check it out in action :)

Here's a pic when I was helping a friend move his cruiser. That cruiser is 95 inches in length--a typical sportbike is about a foot shorter, so it won't hang out as much. Really depends on what bikes you plan on hauling.

That's not bad at all! I think I may have to go with the ReadyRamp. Thanks for the pic!

This was the best bed extender I could find. I got it from Toyota.

Works great if you're hauling one, but that technique falls apart quickly with more than that or you have a short bed ;)

Yeah, good call. it still wasn't too bad and the bed is narrow enough that everything in the front doesn't shift to the back.

You should get a ready ramp.

Forgot to ask, which ReadyRamp did you go with for the Taco? Standard or Compact? I'm thinking it would be the compact.. will go measure later.

Fraction of a price and dont take space at all.
I have a small foldable ramp that does the job easy. of course if you are carrying heavier bikes you might need a heavier ramp and then might be easier to use something like ready ramp or shark kage.
    Good luck.

    Get the compact.

Stolen from their FB page. I'll have the try the BBQ thing sometime. Saves me from having to bring my folding table.

The only real 'issue' with mine is that they don't give clear instructions on how to mount the straps on your tailgate, but I figured it out with some googling.

I just bought the ready ramp. Main reason? I need to leave my tailgate down when hauling my bike(s) and other gear. (EZ-UP, Generator, Fuel Cans, Cooler, Toolbox, Chairs, gear bag with leathers, helmet, boots, etc.) One other nice benefit of the ready ramp is that I don't need space in my truck bed for a ramp. Like some others have said, I did not receive instructions for how to mount it in the truck bed and they do not have them on their website (page broken). I have emailed customer service, we'll see what they say. Luckily I won't need mine until spring. I bought it now because they had $25 off on black Friday.
