What Bed Rail Bike Rack Do You Use?

I’m looking for ideas...I have a couple recumbent trikes and I want to carry one in the bed and one on a bike rack that would attach to the rail system in the bed, so one trike would be above the other. I am trying to avoid a hitch mount rack.

I’ve looked at Yakima and Thule, but they are pretty expensive.

 

What axles on the bikes?

 

I don’t know. They aren’t listed on the spec sheet either.

 

Sub'd because I'm considering getting a trike or recumbent.

Not sure if they will work for you but I added a front bed rail from Amazon for $40 and use the Rockymounts track mounts. I have a LB so both bikes can fit sidexside in the bed.

 

It’s not recumbent, but I stand my bike in the bed and connect to the rail bracket with a large carabiner and it works well.

 

Not recumbents or stacked, but some ideas you might build from.

I bought a bike rack that was meant to attach to a roof rack and then fabbed up some bed bars to mount it to.

 

Thanks for all the input. I tried using utility bars to hold one trike over the other in the bed, but it didn’t work out like I invisioned. Here is what I fab’d up and seems to be working great.
