Always traditional, thought I'd try a wheelie. Shot Bowtech, Matthews, and finally settled on a 35 maxxis.
Shoots great, but hangs on the wall. Still prefer the longbows.

look on ebay, you can get one fully set up for the same price as a new one.
archerytalk.com is a good place as well, but it will be a little more.

i can feel your pain about not being able to test one out. there are alot of bow
shops around me, but i am a lefty. i am out of luck, like you b/c they never
    stock any left handed bows.

i am on my 3rd mathews bow, and won't buy another bow, unless it breaks. i use a
dxt. i put a string stop on it a month ago, and it is so damn smooth, there is no reason to get another.

alot of the new bows come with them, people shoot them and are like, "oh my god this is the smoothest shooting bow ever", lol. if they took it off, it would be almost like the bow they have without one.

i would never pay what they are asking for that carbon matrix bow, who cares if it
is a little lighter. heck, i just put a stabilizer on my bow that weighs 14oz. trying to make it heavier, lol.

wow no love on this thread, all i did was tell the op what i liked and why. i did not tell him what to buy. well last night on the phone with him i did tell him based on his situation i thought the Z7 might be the best option for him.

i will never try to push anyone to buy what i buy, i will only give my opinion on bow that how they felt to me.

so there you can resubscribe now :p

Yup, with no archery shops around and the only guy on the island that can work on bows is a mathews guy it looks like I'm kinda forced to stay on the z7 path.

Free, no tags, shoot as much as you want/can. We are over run by deer, goats and pigs, my Aunty has 60 acres of deer infested land, archery only.

Ok guys I just pulled the trigger on a Destroyer 340, $1159.00 shipped loaded. It came with the bow set at 28" 70lbs, Hogg sight, limbsaver x-coil stabilizer, quiver, NAP apache rest, Scott little goose release, 1 dozen gold tip carbon arrows, 1 dozen field tips, 1 dozen broadheads, and a bow case. Big thanks to 225 nontypical and aficianado, great help guys and to everyone else who had input on my choice, thanks.

There's a nice buck that I have been seeing almost every afternoon, he just started rubbing off his velvet, it looks so cool with pieces of velvet hanging from his racks. As soon as I get the bow sighted in I'm gonna be looking for him.

You made a great choice with the destroyer! I got one about 4 months ago and have loved it. It is very fast and smooth. I shot 2 robin-hoods at 20 yards in my first 10 shots and I'm no pro!
