I use the Six Fish but, it smells like...dead fish. Orijen does come with some high recommendation tho.

My doge seems to like the wellness stuff. She's a super picky eater... Did onijen for a while and the wilderness food, but she was never too keen on those. Hard to get her to eat somewhat consistently.

My Great Dane eats only Blue Buffalo. That is the best in the market. Do your research! Don't just go for what the Vet tells you. They will push what they have. They all get kick backs from selling / pushing that stuff. And some of it is just plain garbage.

    Blue Chicken and Rice.

The cost sucks... At 7-8 cups of food a day.... Any quality food is expensive.

Isn't that in the Basics line of BB food?

    Not in the basics line..

    Yes I am familiar.

I pitched the bag. The feed store I get it at has me on file.... I just walk in and get it.

Went and looked it up. This what our Dane is in. He does great! Nice shiny coat, no tears, shedding greatly reduced and loves it! I was wrong on the rice part..... Wife quickly corrected me..:smack:

Well crap. We have been feeding blue buffalo basics salmon and potato but I see its only a 2.5 star. She has an allergy to chicken products and that was all we could find that had no chicken meal. Guess it's time to start looking again.

Not sure about chicken, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have any or any chicken meal.

She gets Pine Forest now, which is venison and legumes.

Zignature's entire line is grain and chicken free, and I'm pretty sure it's all potato free as well. They have a bunch of different recipes...kangaroo, whitefish, duck, lamb, turkey, trout/salmon, and turkey/lamb/duck/salmon.

My dog has been on the trout/salmon, duck, and now the kangaroo. $63 for 27lb is kinda on the more expensive side, but a bag lasts almost 7 weeks, so overall its not bad. The higher quality stuff goes futher too -- he maintains 45lb on 1.5c a day. Other grain free stuff he'd be getting 2-3c a day.

The way I see it is either spend money on healthier food or spend the money on vet bills.

I just took what the vet recommended and in 2 1/2 years she has had no issues so I can only assume it's good. And it should be for $70 a bag.image.jpg
She's a good dog and owes me nothing. I get the bennifits out of owning her! My wife and kiddo would say the same!
