I have tracked my gas mileage since I purchased the truck and the mpg started at 17.27 and after 6 tanks the average mpg is 18.75. I called the dealership and since I have not gone more than 5000 miles, they feel it’s not broken in yet. This may be true. Plus, they mentioned that the DFW area has had bad gas and all stations use Ethanol. Well, at 5000 miles I better be getting between 23 – 28 mpg or I’ll be making quite a few phone calls.

I'm guessing you have a I4, because thats what my V6 is getting and I am very happy with those results.

Yea I think TRD-Elkaholic hit it on the nose with his answer, I've been using Amoco/BP. I have heard that Hess is good but none in my area.

81.9 cents a liter for 91 octane?? In Lethbridge, I call BS!! That would mean that 87 is running at about 71 cents a liter, it hasn't been that cheap since 1996. It is currently 1.09 cents a liter for 91 octane. (4.13/gal US liquid).

i use shell...chevron is good but if you use it to much the techron eats away at the injectors and causes them to go bad

Who ever told you that techtron is bad for your injectors is full of it. i had 385,000 miles on my civic all of it was chevron not a single problem with the fuel system. In my opinion thats good enough proof so thats why i use chevron in my tacoma.

I use BP, call me crazy but in my mind it runs smoother on BP than other brands. More than likely it is in my mind but it makes me feel better
