Walmart SuperTech 0-W20 with the dexos label and a Toyota brand filter. I change both every time the service indicator comes on (every 5k ish miles?) I keep a log on google docs.

Either Pennzoil Platinum PurePlus or Mobil 1 (whichever on sale at Walmart). OEM filters from EBay.

First couple of oil changes (5k, 10k) were either Toyotacare 0w20 or Mobil1 0w20 w/oem filter. Most recent oil change at 16k was 5w30 Mobil1 with an OEM filter given the oil analysis results from Blackstone of the 0w20 Toyota vs 5w30 Mobil1 with about the same mileage. I will probably continue running 5w30. Just my .02

    YMMV

Usually the autozone by me has a 5qt or valvoline full synthetic 5w30 with filter for $29.99. Buy an extra quart to get the 5.5qts needed for the 4.0

    nothing crazy

I used to run AMSOIL in all my vehicles, just recently switched over to AmazonBasics Full Synthetic. Cheaper, and has been working great so far. Previous user here linked a video testing it out. Super convenient to have it delivered to my doorstep same day.

I just switched to Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w-20. Can’t be happier - my fuel economy has blipped up 1-3 mpg but could just be due to some break in of the motor too. Nonetheless it was used in my Honda civic up to 277,000 miles no leaks or burning - no loss of oil either between changes even when I sold it.

Amazon is Hitler otherwise I’d make Bezos richer and buy his oil. I dread Amazon they do nothing but crush local businesses.

AMSOIL, or Royal Purple is what I've always used, but like what others are sharing, Amazon Basics might be worth the try.

I'll bet 90% of vehicles on the road die from body Rust and not engine failure.

Then choose Supertech. It’s the same stuff with a different label. Works great.

Mobil 1 0W30. Not loyal to the Rockefeller brand (even though the Toyota factory team runs it in the World Endurance Championship), but happened to find it on sale at a lower price than other brands earlier this year.

If you make purchasing decisions on politics, you may want to avoid Mobil (Exxon Valdez) and Castrol (BP - Deepwater Horizon), too. I'm sure Pennzoil (Shell) has overthrown a few Third World governments as well.

Gen2: Access cab platform, Gen3: MESO Puddle Lights, KTJO Power Folding Mirrors,
Mobil 1 0W20 and Purolator Boss filter (PLB25608). I may switch to the TRD filter (PTR43-00082) as it is very similar to the Boss and maybe even a little cheaper. I don't try to cheap out on something that is fairly cheap to start with and is only done once or twice a year on my vehicles. Plan on having them a while.
