Cool...just look up under there and compare sides...the way it looks you should see whats broke pretty easy

 

The slam-stamp from the bump stop, I'd expect. The rub spot on the spindle arm, I was not. I'm a little confused about that one.

I'd be looking for a shop yesterday, unless you are really comfortable throwing parts at it yourself.

 

Small BOULDER.

 

Yes, he ran into a small, large rock.

 

My guess is an UBJ or Tie Rod.
But we need better pics.

 

I got a lawn mower that can fix that
With a few sets of blades and a 5/8 socket, you can make "big" rocks, into "small rocks". ( I know, I've done it)

 

If we are going by the Wentworth classification scale, a boulder is any particle greater than 256mm (10 inches) in diameter.



As a degreed geologist, I always thought that the scale was bullshit. There should be at least one additional size class between cobble and boulder.

 

Perhaps a cobbler?

 

What do you see?

 

If, after a thorough visual inspection, I couldn't identify the broken suspension component(s), I'm pretty sure I wouldn't attempt a repair myself.
But that's just me...

I even had my neighbor take a look and he works at a shop mostly doing routine maintenance

Enjoy the evening. First thing tomorrow, jack it up, pull the wheel off, and take thorough pictures of both upper and lower suspension.

Can't tell you what is bent without better pics or seeing in person. In addition to what may be bent, I would question the integrity of the wheel bearing after taking a hit like that. Also I would question if the spindle/knuckle is slightly bent. Tacomas aren't known for beefy spindles.
