What bump stops after removing airbags?

    Hi everyone.

I have a 2020 TRD OR and I had airbags installed as I towed a camper all the time for work. Now I have sold it and will be taking the airbags off this weekend.

When having the airbags installed the OEM rubber bump stops were cut off. Am not worried about driving without the bump stops for a while but still want to put some back there.

As of now I am thinking of getting something close to OEM ones but can not find anything.

What bump stops should I get? Ideally I want the best ride possible with the stock suspension I have now. Also don't want to spend another ~$300 for some fancy bump stops.

    Any advice appreciated.

I also had bags on the rear for a while and have since upgraded to the Sumo Springs. They are a little pricey but definitely a buy once, cry once type of deal.

Got it. After the airbags I want as smooth of a ride as possible. lol.

Are sumosprings any rougher than stock?

Sounds like you’re in the same camp as me when I removed my springs. I went with the Sumo Springs - Blue for the front and rear (rear is a must).

There was a big difference with the change IMO. Also very much smoother than stock. The stock hockey punk type bump stops are very jarring (not as much as the air bags) whereas the sumo springs are a lot more forgiving for sure.

Keep in mind, this is only the bump stop portion when it comes to the smoothness of the ride. After doing the Sumos I went Kings all around and it’s like driving a cloud now.

I went SUMOs on the front and rear and I think my truck rides better now. they work great if lifted 2/1 on 5100s.

Appreciate the advice so far. My truck is stock for now and with normal driving having no bump stops will be fine. Will not be bottoming out. Ideally am looking for something similar to stock ones. Should I contact Toyota?

The OE ones are horribly hard,,, but if you’re not anticipating using them often (load), I’d just look for a used set. You can probably find em for the cost of shipping, as most go in the dumpster,,, mine did.
