That's not really fair. There are plenty of people, myself included, that for one reason or another need to park between other vehicles. Maybe your work/school has a lot that routinely fills, maybe you live In an apartment with limited or assigned parking. I don't know about you, but I would much rather a salesman let me know about this potential concern rather than make that call for me.

Currently have a 2005 tundra access cab and the suicide doors are a major pain. When both cars are in the garage it's like a puzzle getting people in and out of the back seat. Not mention the leg room is painful for anyone 5 ft tall or above.

If someone is six foot tall in the front then forget about using the back seat.

If you will never need a backseat then go access. Access in the new regular.

If you have more than one 6 footer in you family go double for sure or step up to a full size.

I live in a 3 story apt. building. My assigned parking spot which I was allowed to pick is the 2nd furthest from the building, 1 block away. Human nature is for people to get a parking spot closest to the door.

Yeah I use to drive a regular cab Ford Ranger and F-150. The 1st time I owned a extended cab I said I would never own another regular cab. Just that little bit of extra room gives you the feel of a big truck. Being alone in this world makes it even a better choice. I thought about a crew cab with a short bed on it. I always thought if I needed to haul something bigger a U-Haul center is always close by to rent a trailer. Maybe on my next truck.

AC cause 4 doors to me looks so "kids", no matter what the vehicle.

    Love the suicide doors.

I got a Double Cab by default (got a Limited), but wanted one anyway because it's the only one that the kid's car seats can fit into.

I don't have kids, and not planning to have any and still went with the DC.

Until one wants to use the area behind the driver for dry cargo space and cannot get a grocery cart between the two open doors. I don't see kids when I see any crew cab. I see a driver who likely owned an AC at some point and won't make that mistake again.

I won't have another access cab. Doors are a pain the butt the direction they open. What Kahanabob's salesman says is true.

No kids, no pets, and no need for 4 seats (we have an SUV for that).
    Need / want fullsize bed
Double Cab long bed is too long to fit in the garage.

How long is you garage? Pretty sure I could fit a full size truck, but have no desire.

But I'm also going dclbftmfw.....basically a full sized 80's truck.

I don't know the exact measurements, but my current tacoma just barely fits comfortably lengthwise (with some shelving at the one end). Maybe a good 10" to spare up front and 5" in the back.
And, it parks on the right side bay......no room for anyone to get in or out near the wall.

I used to owned a Dodge Ram... I just don't like the fullsize trucks. They're just too big for driving around town 'easily'. I could rearrange the garage to fit a DCLB, but.....just don't need the 4 seats.

Notice Dodge and GM has gone to double cab style swing doors on their "access cab" / "extended cab" style trucks.
I was surprised Ford kept the suicide doors with the newest truck. I bet that changes.
