I have a 2012 dcsb sport. Already have the timbren offorad bump stops installed. Rear squats and ride of course is rough. Basically riding on timbrens.

The truck is my commuting MV. So need a good ride when not hooked up still. Trailering is mostly local doing some lawns.

Other than buying a tundra what are some ways I can fix this issue. Thanks in advance

Get some firestone helper air bags probably the most economical without going to a different leaf pack and getting some lift out of it.

Do you guys have and use them or just saying bon what you have read.

I remember seeing helper springs supersprings.com. I think I was the site. Air bags still better?

I have them and they are awesome. 900 pound quad in the bed and a 1500 pound Yamaha on the trailer and no squat whatsoever.

I know a few who have used them. Some who have made them removable. I personally have not. I have installed helper leafs in other vehicles and to me they aren't as versitile as the airbags. Plus with helper springs the ride can get a little less comfy depending on how they are set up.

My father in law put firestone airbags on his first gen Tacoma to help with firewood. They work well.

Pops put airbags on his 3rd gen taco and loved em when towing his teardrop trailer. Ditch the timbrens and grab some firestone ride rite airbags, A lil hand pump and a pressure gauge is all you need to adjust as needed.

My ONLY suggestion is to NOT T them together and have one air drain / fill point, as this will essentially do the opposite of a sway bar and increase amount of sway (when one compresses, the other will want to extend) so keep it to two lines and two fill ports.

How is the durability of these bags. Or maintenance for that matter. A few videos seem to always say 5 psi is minimum. What happens if winter comes along and they get down to 0psi for a while?

Just periodically check the psi in the bag. It has schrader valves just like a tire. And I haven’t had to do any maintenance.

What do you have in the back of your truck? That doesn't look like near enough trailer/load to make your truck squat.
Either way, moving the mower back a foot or two to center it over the trailer axle will help.

I would move the mower back the whole thing is almost in front of the axle. That's alot of tounge weight.

I was thinking same. Just got the e-track trailer tie downs. So can move it further back with a set of straps to hold it to the floor. Will move it back a foot next time.

Part of me is thinking the 130k mile rear suspension is showing its age. Unless the trd sport shocks were softer than others.

Has the TSB on the rear springs been done?
Or did that even apply to sports?
At 130 I'd say a new set of rear springs may be in order. Maybe new shocks too.
    Call wheelers offroad.

Alcan spring has worked flawless for me in the past. Might be a worth while to give them a call.

    Other options:

    Load distribution hitch.

Air bags are such a PITA over the long run.

The simplest solution is usually the best, just make sure you still have a bit of tongue weight for stability.
