x2 same thing with me, but it sounds pretty badass.

You talking about a drop in filter? From what I understand, don't expect anything. I didn't gain anything really. Only thing for me is I never have to buy another filter. Thats what I like.

    And won't hurt your warranty.

Nope, stuck that don't touch my filter sticker on the intake. And no issues at all. I only really have my truck inspected. But no hassel at all.

i got a weird code the first day i installed mine but after i drove my truck for a day it went away, it had something to do with the MAF sensor getting dirty, i think from the filter being new and having a oily residue. the dealer hasnt told me anything but i kept my old one because when i smog my truck im going to have to swap it back to stock.

If you are talking about the reusable and oil able K&N's,you can expect to eventually over oil it,resulting in a dirty MAF,and a check engine light.

I just drop in my stock one when I clean mine if I have to go anywhere while drying.

    No you're not. RTFM

Anyway, about all I got with mine was a slightly louder growl from the intake. With a stock setup it won't net you much gain at all. You'll get the advantage of not having to replace the filter, that's really about it. Check out the AFE Pro Dry drop in filter if you're worried about getting oil on the MAF.
