With the recent post by LazyRyan talking about a Tundra wanting to race him it got me thinking, I know taco's are fast and i personally like racing my friends who all have cars (except for a few).

And before you say it yes i know street racing is bad, i know thats why I do all my racing on an old county road that never has any traffic on it and we always setup guys at both the start and finish to look out for any on coming traffic.

Having said that the real reason for this thread is just to brag about what cars and trucks you have beat. I guess i'll start with a few of mine, of my two best friends one has an 05 v6 mustang and i smoke him every time the second friend has a 2000 BMW 3 series, its a little bit closer but i still win. I have raced other people but there cars and trucks aren't worth mentioning, because i beat them too.

So enjoy posting about the cars you've beat and i hope this leads to some good stories for us all to enjoy.

I just got my truck and the only car who wanted to race was a girl in a VW Bug...so she got smoked but i really wanna race my friends Silverado!

Street Racings only bad if you crash!...that should help start some conversation!

Took my buddies silverado with out any problem at all, raced a HEMI (while in 4x4) that was neck in neck, raced a new dakota V8 and smoked his domestic crap with a full load in the box (while i was moving to my new house), lost to my girl friends matrix but was rewarded afterwards....

I don't pay much attention to what it was, but I blow people away all the time at stop lights and highway merge lanes. Half the time I'm not even trying to race, but I'm a good 100 yards from the line by the time the car next to me or behind me crosses under the light. I'm usually doing 30 coming out of 2nd, look back, and everyone else is just crossing the intersection.

A few people have tried to beat me to a lane end and merge over, but they never win if I have open road ahead of me.

Hell, I still pass cars on the way home with 1600lbs of wood pellets in the bed.

Beat a F-150 V8 300HP+. It was stock except for air intake.
We were racing a 20 to 60 and at 20mph we booked our rides.. and made to 2 shifts and both of them the pedal was all the way to the floor. Squeek the tires as well. Beat him to 25 to 55 and after that the V8 took over.
    Not bad at all for a 4-banger w/ a CAI. I bet the V6 wouldn't have any problem taking a F0-150 to 75 at least. :p

Another friend of mine Mazda 6.
our first race when I won and I was hella surprise he had a V6 and I'm at 4-banger. Were going at 30ishMPH and we booked and I won the race till 75 and then it was over.. we got up to 90MPH He only got 2 car length ahead.

He was pissed and wanted a rerace (both manual). I came to the conclusion That i had more torque and his HP doesn't kick in till high spd above 60MPH... boy was i wrong.

Our next race was from 0 to 30 and 0 to 40 at 5MPH starting and my taco lost both of em lol... (I lost on the concept of TQ and HP)

I believe the main reason I won was mainly because of the CAI and the fact that it was a manual and you can doggy the tranny. The other reason is I think the 2.7L sweet spot of power is at 20-30ish MPH and when you book it there that's where all the power is at climax.

Besides that I follow tacoma007 moto from now on....

I'm a few years removed from my teeny-bopping days, so nobody has fallen to the Taco. In other words if I wanted to race my truck, I would have picked up an x-runner and not a 4x4.

Our trucks are fast but not racecars. personally i dont believe half of what people are saying they beat. half of these claims are either bold faced lies or the other car didnt realize they were racing

I don't race my truck. It just looks too damn good to not let people see me cruise by really slow...

Besides, I am the only person that has driven it after the first 4 miles were put on it (dealer had to test drive it after it got off the car-hauler). So, I know the engine has been baby'ed. That way I can sell it later when I put a diesel in there...

People that make a habit of street racing don't have the balls to race on a track. People may see them loose.

That being said, my wife beat a Mustang from light to light but she didn't realize it was a race until I told her. :)

That's actually a great first post. As someone who lived about 2 miles from Atco Raceway (NJ) and spent many a Friday night there, I can confirm this.

This needs to be made into a sticky!!!
Nobody looks at the consequences of their actions......which is all about BRAGGING, and just shows the immaturity of some people. If you are racing on the track...fine, there are plenty of folks that do.

Phantom, thanks for sharing your story, hopefully somebody has learned something!

Totally agree.....our trucks are quick...but some of the claims these id10ts make are rediculous!!

Last night on my way home I stopped at a stop light and noticed a Ford GT sitting next to me revving his engine as if to say I know you would be a close match for this 550hp supercar. So I revved my 245hp up and the light turned green. I don't know if it was the premium fuel I put in the tank or the new air freshener I put in the cab, or maybe even a force I can't explain at all, but when that light turned green I hit the gas and we went neck to neck. I noticed he was keeping up with me so I pushed the accelerator in further and turned the radio up as I light a cigarette and was talking on my cell phone. Once we got past 1/4 of a mile he was over a mile behind me. Now if you don't believe that then, I guess you wouldn't even believe that I also took down a Bugatti Veyron the other week.
