I've been noticing ash trees with woodpecker work on them...going after the emerald ash borer grubs. Probably too little too late for any tree I see getting bark stripped.

Makes great firewood !! Actually heading out around 1 to cut some up for a buddy of mine.... he says hey Dave, got any firewood laying around. I says how low are you. “I’ll run out this weekend” o_O so I’m off to help this afternoon. But it’s “big” wood so it’ll take sometime and effort. We got this

Prepping for tomorrow. Looking at single digits until early afternoon. Merino wool base layer for sure.

Be safe brother! Son and I did our good deed today. I cut 3-23” plus logs and he split them enough to be able to load them up in my buddy’s dually dump bed .... I’m worn out. 23 degrees and windy! Not my favorite weather to be working in but hung in there

Just getting home. Started at 8:00AM sharp at 5F. Ended at 4:00PM at 13F. I'd guess we cleared about 3/4 acre total. By 10:00AM, I was only wearing a sweater. The chipper could do 6" diameter max, so I cut anything down less than that. We had a dedicated dragger and a dedicated chipper...I cut the entire time, with a little break here & there. Everything got chipped. Ran through 4 tanks on the MS261. Came home with all limbs & digits attached. Great day! Sorry I don't have before pics, but it was mostly thick softwoods with some birch and maple here & there.

Cleaned her up a bit and installed a new dog on my 251 during lunch today (working from home has its perks). Warmer weather means she's ready to start ripping again. Dog's name is Spike

Cleaned up!! Looks like new! I eyed mine up last night. It’s way muddy here.... not sure if I’m gonna fight the mud or not this weekend. Plus the rain :-/

Well after my trusty Echo CS-400 was stolen and with me starting a cabin build it was time to step up to a pro saw.

(Husqvarna 562 XPG) Spent last weekend clearing trail up to my property. Waiting on the 28" bar and full skip chains to come in the mail.
On another note heated handles are dope, just saying.

I have an old blue top husky 44 , it was a forest service issue , it’s heavy but it runs like a champ provided you use the correct starting sequence! Lol

My renters moved out, left me some tools...
3 chainsaws in first picture, 2 ryobi, and 1 Sthil saw, they are in pretty rough shape, gonna clean up the Sthil one first and see how it goes.
