I inherited my dads 018 as a limbing saw, but i do a fair amount of property maintenance (My house, Moms house, Inlaws house, Inlaws cottage, 200 acre family farm) that requires more oomph! I can relate to the saw weight-age ratio when doing firewood.

Sorry guys. Nothing touches a Husqvarna Autotune saw. With the Husqvarna pre mix you can’t beat it.

I cut my teeth (& my first 40 acres) w/ a Jonsered. By 1999 they were essentially Husky’s, No?

Definitely take a look at the new’ish 400 they have. Falls in between the 362 and 462. Less than a half pound heavier for a good amount more power. 5.4hp vs 4.69hp on the 362. Don’t get me wrong, the 362 is great, I have a ton of hours on one but if I was shopping now I’d probably spend the extra hundred bucks or so for a better power to weight. All depends on what you need though obviously. I will say the 362 loves a 20” bar, chain speed slows a good bit above that. If you wanna run a 24+” bar, I’d recommend taking a peak at the 400.

Yes I think its a 16" bar. Plenty big for my needs of clearing roads if I get stuck behind a downed tree.

This saw is for Elming ENTP. If anyone knows him, a real good guy near the Shaver Lake area.

Finalizing compression. Starting off with a new Wiseco piston ring. I’ll then ask Dr. lathe to adjust. Good stuff.

Had my first barber chair the other day. Split both sides of the hinge and ruined some great oak. I have a feeling it was due to a 4x4” crossbeam that was in the tree for a swing that went between the trees. Still landed exactly where I wanted it to.

Good thing is you made it out okay. That looks like a nasty split/inner havoc.

    Good stuff though, nice placement.

Right? My first tools were Makita. Then the V28 came out and I went red. Been red since. The battery operated tooling has been bad ass.

Tim picked up his hot saw this past week. That was a fun build. I can’t wait to buzz against it this summer.

395 looking good homes! Nice hold too.

They’re crazy fun to cut with. Feels awesome holding a motor that strong in the hands. Tim finally got a chance to buzz it and I can tell by the pictures he sent me, he’s starting to get comfortable with it. Leg input plays big. It’s hard to get a good cut otherwise. Only problem is I now have to compete against that motor!:duel:

Now that’s a cool photo there. Ready to pull on the cord and get to trabajando!

It was time I had to switch the piston ring on the 562FP. I have been noticing the nasty compression pulls/power just ain’t there like it once was. Caber to the rescue. Although the stock ring lasted a looooong time.

It’ll be hard to chose which one of my Huskies is me fave. 3120(3136), 390, 346, 550, or this biggy boy 562. Real Good Stuff.
