What color 3rd gen did you choose/ wish you chose?

Never in a million years did I think I'd buy a white vehicle (other than a Porsche ), but I went with Super White on mine. My wife wanted MGM, but the last 3 cars we've bought were similar, including my wife's current Jetta, so I decided against it. Super White just seems to compliment the angles of the truck better than most of the other colors, and I didn't want a color that would wear on me and get dated after a while. I second guessed myself when I drove off the lot with it, but after seeing all of the other colors on the road, Super White looks the best to me.

The nice thing about this particular white is it's not an off-white like most other whites. Some come off as grayish or yellowish, but this is Super White, so it almost glows.

 

Hmmm... one of the pros of waiting on an '18 is the addition of metallic black (rumored). I'm just afraid it'll be hard to get one in a sport, MT, premium/tech pkg... There's a '17 in that config. at a dealership 2 hrs away.

Ultimately, I told myself I wouldn't be too picky on color -- just nothing bright (no Red, Orange, Blue)... so has to be Black, Gray, Silver, White...

My neighbor across the street has a 2014ish Raptor in a metallic black color and the neighbor right next door to him just got an Avalanche Gray Raptor.... Now I've been looking at cement since it'll be available on non-pro, upper-trim packages

I'd like to see the new colors....

 

Same here. Just wish the DCLB came in a manual...... But even if it did I'm not sure the wife would have signed off on it due to the price and the fact she doesn't drive stick. I'm happy with my truck tho.....

As far as Calvary Blue, I really liked it on the FJ but for some reason I think it's gonna look funny on our truck.

 

Does anyone have pics of the new colors? I bought a Black TRDOR DCSB in 16, but could have easily gone with with Quicksand instead. Wish they would have had the Cement color available back then...

 

This. The white top on the FJ mixes well but I think it's gonna look goofy on a truck with only black accents.

 

Some automotive designer did not think so! Color choices are soooo personal!

 

I had black in mind when I started shopping, but right before I pulled the trigger I came across a Barcelona Red DCSB OR parked right up front @ the dealership and had a last-minute change of heart. I tried to buy that actual truck, but soon as I laid eyes on it, they started peeling off the sticker. So, I bought one just like it, with less miles (15).

 

Black. Love quicksand as well.

Metallic black for '18? That will be awesome for hiding dust, pollen, etc., and looks amazing.

 

See I disagree, I think it will look better with all the black trim, no white or chrome. It would look best on the Pro or an Off Road with the black fenders imo.

 

I wanted MGM, but wasn't super picky. Ended up with MGM. I would have loved Cement. Is the Cavalry Blue, the blue-grey color on the FJs? If so, I'd take that. Black looks rad too.

 

They had three colors on the lot in the config. and trim I wanted when I purchased.....Blue, White & Silver. Almost went white, but looking back I am kind of glad I did'nt as that seems to be a pretty popular color round my area. I see alot of the red also. I rarely see the silver. I also like that it always looks clean.

 

I kinda wish they did too..... I still would have went with QS, but I think a lot of people who wanted cement but didn't want to pony up the cash for a pro went with QS as their second favorite. I've had multiple people tell me this was their story. But who knows, it's human nature to want what we can't/don't have, so maybe if cement was widely available on the 3rd gens it wouldn't be so popular.

 

I can't vote because I don't have a "Turd Gen".

I do have a Third Gen Taco though.

 

I read the metallic black will be Pro option only for '18

 

I thought in that 1 thread on 18s that the new black was available on everything but the Pro, maybe I misread it though

 

From what I've read, they cement will be available for everything and the
Metallic Black is 1 of 3 new Pro colors.......must........not .......trade........

 

If you look at the Sticky Section up top and look at the price and options thread, it shows White, Red, and Blue for the 2018 Pro

 

So Metallic Black for any truck? You're not helping my
"trade-in" disorder bro I have a bad case of I don't need
it, probably won't use it........but must have it!

 

The way I am seeing it is that it's gonna be available on everything but the Pro, hope that doesn't mess with your trade-in disorder lol.

 

lol.....I do love my damn moon roof, don't use it, but again MUST have it.

would've really liked the metallic black, leather would be nice too but to
start the damn loan all over again and HOPE issue don't keep poppin up
on an 18 too makes me leery.
