Need opinions, I was thinking of either replacing my flares or plast-dipping or wrapping my current flares to black.

Below the first pic is just a pic from online showing MGM with black flares. Below that is my truck. Before I waste time and money I need help deciding.

Go black or stay color matched flares?

There are people on this forum that sell their black takeoff fenders. I would look for something like that and buy them. That way you can just swap them out when you want.

Are those color matched vent shades? Might as well stay color matched if they are.

The factory black fender flares that I have looked at, show more scratches when pin striped than painted.

Just an observation. If you don’t have trees where you wheel no worries.

Painted in MGM, the black looks cheap, to busy and it fades over time and it makes the truck look like it is shorter in height.

Trees at the mall are usually well trimmed and protected by curbed islands.

Regarding fading; not to try to convince you, but for the benefit of others...
Mine were a just little faded, but had this weird swirl pattern; remnant from injection molding. I was able to buff and Aerospace 303 it out, but it kept reappearing.
I was getting ready to spray them with Raptor liner, but thought I'd try Cerakote trim coat. That stuff is amazing...and lasts. The key is to use it sparingly. I cut one wipe into 4 pieces; so, 1/4 wipe per flare. Also, apply in moderate temperatures.
This stuff brought all my trim back to life. I'm done with Aerospace 303.
