I appreciate the feedback at such quick notice.
I was on the fence for black or mgm. I was trading in my red 2011 taco this evening and ended up going with black because of the JBL Entune pkg on top of the TRD Offroad.... and I had the dealer throw in 2 seat heater switched that go to the LIMITED model, which I will possibly be using with my leather seats (need to reorder them from John Huey).

They also had a mess up earlier today. I put a $500 deposit down yesterday on a loaded Red model. This morning I got a call that they sold this model from under me, but as it turns out.... someone just didn't completely make sure it was already spoken for.

...so from this mishaps I was able to negotiate a gentex 50a model mirror (compass/temp/autodim/homelink) and have them remove the dealer handling fees.

 

So... you compromised on your color choice. Sorry to hear that, but "it ain't gettin' what you want, it's wantin' what you get." so be happy and don't look back!

 

well said.... yeah black isn't my favorite, but then there is that saying..... "Its growing on me". The Marine Corps made me keep things clean (white glove test)... so keeping it clean might drive me nuts, but I know how to do it.

Going to try and find some of the gunmetal TRD rims that I used to see on the FJ Cruiser TRD/Black edition... and some Black nerf bars.

Only thing I wasn't expecting was the change on the floor mat clips... now i have to sell my weathertech mats for new ones. You would think weathertech would make a retrofit clip for them.

 

Black hard to keep clean! Looks great when it's washed and waxed though

Why are they getting rid of the awesome colors? I would love to repaint my 04 spruce mica! I love the black, but green is my favorite color of the two. It really looks good both on first and second gens. Ah well, maybe someday when I hit a gold spike I will just take it in and have it completely repainted.
