Without even reading your post I was going to suggest red. I think the contrast would look great on your SWB.

I'd go with gunmetal, or perhaps bronze. I don't think red would look too good with swb. With such an intense color, red would clash way too much. If your truck was white or black, red calipers might look okay. Also, keep in mind the color of your wheels might play a factor.

yeah i was thinking of painting my 17" sport rims black, but i dont know. i was thinking if i left it chrome black would look pretty nice, but if i end up painting it black and with black calipers i dont know if it will just look like one big black thing

If you like personally, go for it. Its your truck. IMHO red stands out way too much, and will make your truck look like a ricer. It'll be even more highlighted due to the fact that you have stock calipers.

So all high end cars that have BBK's standard that are red, yellow, orange, are all rice then? Sorry don't think so. Sti's, evos, 370, g37, gtr, porche, Ferrari, lambo just to name a few must look like crap to you then.

Our trucks have big enough calipers to come off as a bbk kit. Just add some slotted rotors, lines, and pads and most wouldn't know the difference.

I never said high end cars with bbk are not rice. I'm saying that a truck that comes rear drum brakes that has stock sized calipers painted bright red is. Whats the point of painting your calipers red? So it stands out and people can see it, right. But does it provide any performance or functionality? No it doesn't. The intent is make it seem as though you have some kind of aftermarket caliper, when in fact you don't. Seems the basic definition of rice to me.
