I bought two trucks a couple weeks ago (one beater and one wreck) and am combining them into one good one.

So I have a parts truck that has ABS, but my project truck does not.

The master cylinder on my project truck is shot, so I'd like to swap the one from my parts truck into it. Is this possible? What else do I have to swap?

What years are you speaking about?

one is a 96, the other a 98. They use the same parts regardless of year, except ABS vs. non ABS are different.

I intalled ABS on my std cab tacoma. The master cylinders are different. It is a lot of work to swap ABS onto a non ABS truck. But it can be done.

My question is, why do you want ABS?

I've been looking for ways to rid of it.

The doner vehicle I used had ABS. I was installing everything from the 4runner into my truck, wire harness, computers, etc I didn't want to worry about any codes. I have ABS on my 99 4runner and like it. It works well on the snowy/ icy here in Utah.
