Not sure how Lich King sounds without the original singer either, TBH

Saw MW a few years ago at a metal festival and was very impressed. They may be newer but definitely have a lot of old school style

Just had a third concert canceled due to covid. So I got tickets to Madness (the 80's band), Rammstein and now Mac Sabbath. Not even sure that when it's safe I'm gonna wanna go. BTW- seen Exmortis a few times. They are badass thrash.

Over the weekend I saw Cheap Trick and Joan Jett. First time seeing Joan. I like her and her songs a lot, although both bands really lacked a real good show. They just came out and did their thing and that was it. Nothing to stand out above the rest. They're both getting up there though so I don't know if I should've expected anything more than what they did. I still enjoyed it. Just not as much as seeing better bands.

Widespread Panic keeps cancelling the shows I have tickets for :frusty:. We had tix for all 4 nights at the Beacon in NYC and then all 4 nights here in Atl for NYE. Thankfully I have still caught a few shows this year from Phish, Goose, and Billy Strings off the top of my head. Railroad Earth was in town last weekend but I had to miss it.

Covid cancellations are weird because it’s almost like you’ve got to pay more attention to the medium to smaller acts than the big names

Seen a couple shows over the last couple months...

    Ghost & Volbeat
    Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats
Mayhem & Midnight (Watain was supposed to be on this tour, but their Visas got denied because I'm assuming they did something stupid).
Immolation, Demolition Hammer & Mortician in NYC

I've got Steel Panther, Opeth/Mastodon coming up.

I must be an outlier in the forum. I've been going to the local deep house venue in town lately catching local and lesser-known artists and it's been great. I guess deep house isn't as popular as I thought haha - anyone listen to Anjunadeep here?

Going to see Hypocrisy on the 13th. Looking forward to it. They put on a great show and it's at a small club.
