What controls returning windshield wipers to 0 position?

    My windshield wipers have turned into an arcade game where I have to time them in the down position. What needs to be replaced?

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Wiper motor, it has wiper contacts (confusing but thems the terms) internally that complete the circuit for the motor until it reaches the stop point. Probably needs the wiper contacts cleaned internally, but for most that's just replace the thing
