What did/would you pay for window tinting?

Me too. I went to a local radio/tint/alarm shop. Just look around. As long as it comes with that lifetime warranty its all good. It only take 35-45 minutes to do the front two. It shouldnt be that expensive as you guys are saying.

 

Company here quoted me 73 or 80$ depending on which brand of film matches the rears the best, since I'm gonna get em tinted to match. Might go in this week, not sure.

 

I paid $130 for all the windows to be tinted (except the windshield). 3M tint, 22% in the front and 12% over the factory tint in the rear. Lifetime warranty.

 

Is it legal to tint the front windows?I heard its illegal here in Newfoundland to go over a certain percentage (unsure what % though). I know my uncle actully got stopped by the police and told to take the tint off.

 

20% for $60 fronts.

 

All depends on where you are. Laws are different place to place, as is enforcement stress (like lots of places the cops could care less until they pull you over and you are an ass...then they just tack the tint ticket on to that first one to add insult to injury)

FL- 35% is legal on the fronts, 20% the rest of the way around...Your laws could be different.

 

Crap, I paid like $100 for the front 2 to match the rear.

 

In PA, the fronts have to be 70%...is that even tinted? I'm going with 30% and know that it is illegal but I know several people running 20% and they have never had a problem.

I would never mouth off to a cop but am sure that would add an extra fine to my ticket if I did.

Generally, in my experience in NJ and SC, about $25-$30- is good for side windows and $50-$60 for the rear window depending on the vehicle. I paid $55 for both my front windows here in SC.

 

$80 for 4 doors and rear non sliding window, 15% with warranty.

 

120 for all windows including sunroof. (because I don't have a cover for it.) 50 for the 2 fronts, 30 for the 2 rear, 25 for the back window and 15 for the sunroof. I got 15% for the fronts and everything else is at 5%

 

$200 for the all windows (but the windshield) at 35% with a lifetime warranty.

 

i paid 200 for all 4 windows plus windshield, i got 25% on the front 2 and 5% on the rest including the windshield

 

I guess I got overcharged. Paid $100 for 35% for the two fronts. $20 for 5% for the side windows and rear.

 

I paid $80 for the front 2 (15%) and an 8 inch black strip on top of the windshield.

 

Was that due to some "Hot Toyota Truck Chick" discount?

 

I got 5% tint all the way around (except my front window) for $130.
