Living in NYC and doing lots of work myself has limited my abilities to ethically dispose of old parts. I just put on a set of Dakar leaf springs and OME Nitrocharger Sport shocks, and now I'm sitting with my stock UCAs, stock leaf pack with Toytec AAL and a beat up set of 5100s in the bed of my truck. I've also got my stock TRD Off Road coils and Bilstein shocks and struts in the small storage room in my apartment.

I could junk them all and maybe get 20 bucks, probably less. I could leave them on the street like many of my fellow city dwellers do with whatever they're throwing out, or I could try to sell them on craigslist.

    Any suggestions?

Sell on CL and offset the cost of new parts. While they may seem like junk to you, someone with an 05 that could use a refresh for cheap would be ideal.

Sold my coilovers and rears to a guy at work with a 4runner. He said they'd fit, I didn't care, $100. He probably got a good deal.

I have a home with attic space, so I keep stuff like that. If the vehicle is totaled, but my mod parts are intact, I swap the OE parts back on before the hull goes to the yard. Then I have the aftermarket stuff to either reuse or sell.

If the storage is an issue, or just more than I want to deal with (like a 2nd or 3rd set of something) then I just put it on CL or find someone in a local group of similar vehicles that can use them.

I've sold autocross tires on CL that were well past their prime, with a couple of plugs in one, for enough to cover mounting/balancing of a new set. Plus I didn't have to pay a disposal fee. Go figure...........

BTW, knife makers like leaf springs. Just sayin.
