Love the pics!! Thanks for sharing. With the way my life has been going lately, I need a trip to the mountains and some gravel roads. It's nice seeing the autumn colors, we still have about a month to go here in the mountains of east Tennessee.

I have a question for you LC experts about a problem I'm having with my 80. When it's cold it starts right up, if I turn it off for a few minutes and run in a store or some quick stop, it starts back up with a couple cranks, but when it sets for 30 minutes, an hour or longer, I have to crank a dozen or so turns before it fires. Any idea what this might be? A buddy seems to think it could be a bad or leaky injector but I don't have a clue. Also something else that might be a clue to the problem, when I take the gas cap off, seems like a lot of air comes out of the tank. Maybe the charcoal canister? I read on MUD that could be an issue. Thanks for any ideas of what I could check.................10ga

when you say you crank it a "dozen or so turns" are you saying the engine is turning over and just not starting, or that you have to turn the key a dozen times? My guess is that it's not getting spark. I would check the ignition module and check your plugs. They might be worn out and need to be replaced.
    .
As for the air from the fuel tank. Don't worry about it. It's very common and shouldn't be a concern. Mine does the same thing.

Cranking as the starter turns over a dozen or more times. It really seem like a fuel issue. I just did a full tune up with OEM parts. I kind of thought that may take care of it but it didn't. I'm thinking injectors for some reason. I guess I need to see what they look like.

Could be right. It's clearly either fuel or spark related. Good luck.

I ordered my OME lift from Kurt's place this week, Cruiser Outfitters, great guys to work with and I can't wait to get it on. Got a winch question for you guys. I've been looking around trying to decide which one to buy and I'm seriously thinking about a Smittybilt. I know Warn is one of the best but I don't want to drop that much on something that I will rarely use. I was looking on ebay at these, thought I would get some opinions. Also, will these work on my ARB winch bull bar? Also wanted to know what else I will need to buy to mount a winch to the ARB? Is there another brand that would be better in this same price range or maybe a little more? I was looking at the ones at Harbor Freight but I read some reviews that got me to thinking I need to spend a little more money to get one that will work if and when I need it. I read some reviews on the Smittybilt and didn't really see any negative reviews. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it

Sorry to wear you guys out on questions but you guys know more than I do and as much as I like IH8MUD, there seems to always be a smartazz with comments that I can do without. I need wheel spacers for my 16" TRD wheels and after talking to some guys that are running the same wheels, I've found that I need 1.5" spacers. I know this is probably a stupid question but would I be better off with lug centric or hub centric spacers? I honestly don't know the difference. These are the ones I'm looking at and don't know which ones to get. I bought some Spidertrax spacers for my 100 series from Slee when I put my TRD Rock Warriors on and the ones they have for the 80 says they are not hub centric. Plus these are about half the price and are made out of the same material. Thanks again and I'll try not to bug you guys again for a day or 2.

    My feelings on wheels spacers

Not worth it... My two cents.

I would rather not run them but I don't have a choice if I want to run my TRD wheels I bought. From talking to other guys on MUD that are running the same wheel, I have to have at least 1.5" spacers. I ran them on my 100 series and never had a problem so hoping for the same with the 80

Expect the same with the 80 series then.. Not saying it's good or bad.. I think it's more personal preference and experience then anything. :)

After going back and looking at the links, the hub centric spacers are not for an 80, they're 5 lug for a 100 series or Tundra. I guess I answered my own question.

Snorkel going on today, also swapped the charcoal canister out with a Duralast, took the fuel pump out to check the sock ( all clear ), and all vacuum lines checked. I'm working but a very good friend is working on her today. Lift should be here next week and going to buy some new 315 General Grabber AT2's.

@10ga if you're still shopping for winches, the Smittybuilt ones are not what I would choose. A lot of people have them, mainly because they are cheap, and they figure it's something they won't need to use often. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on them. I suppose if it was something I would only use maybe once a year I would have considered one. But my opinion is that any winch is worthless if it doesn't work when you need it. For me I would have had that concern everytime with a Smittybuilt. If I had to go cheap I'd get the Badlands from HF. Personally I think a winch is something you need to have 100% confidence in 100% of the time regardless of cost. So I'd just say keep shopping until you find one you know you can have total confidence in, even if it means putting off the purchase for a bit longer to afford a good one. I chose to go with ComeUp and hve been very happy with it. It has excellent construction, included wireless remote, synthetic rope, and has the highest waterproof rating. Water intrusion is a winch killer. I'm not saying that's the only solution but I didn't mind paying a bit more for the ComeUp which was cheaper than a Warn Zeon and had better performance.

I appreciate the feedback and that's what I've been thinking. I doubt I'll need one much but if I do, I want it to work. My expeditions will be pretty mild and I really doubt I'll need a winch very often, if at all. In that case, would you just go for a cheaper one?

Different topic, a very good friend of mine bought a new printer that he's using to print some decals. Here's a couple he just finished up and if anyone wants some custom decals, let me know and I'll hook you up with him.

This is one he made for his 2005 Taco Sport and the ones below and some he did for me.
