BMWS X3. BMW has made their cars so that I couldn't perform routine maintenance and I wasn't thrilled with paying someone else to do basic maintenance. I also missed having a truck. Wanted something that would fit in my garage so that ruled out an F150.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
2008 Chevy Silverado Z71. Extended cab, 4x4, LT trim. Great truck. Just got sick of replacing some new part every weekend and watching the paint literally flake off.

It saddens me that I had all that horsepower in a 5.3 v8 and basically got the same gas mileage I get now in my Tacoma with a v6. Heck, I could get 21 mpg on the highway in my Silverado and I haven't gotten better than 20 in the Taco.

'03 Ranger V6/5spd. I loved the size of the Ranger. I used it as my dd for three years, then bought a BMW Z3 and (now as the third vehicle) the Ranger just sat and rusted. I sold it in 09 with about 26k miles on it, but a load of frame rust.

Good for you. I had an '01 Durango that I generally liked (at but it had issues. Boatload of electrical problems and some suspension issues. Basically totalled itself by blowing a wiring harness that was going to be 3.5k to replace as well as both o2 sensors.

^^^BTW, that was the day I drove her up to Indianapolis to trade in on the Taco :)

At that point with the o2 sensors shot, it was getting about 7mpg and blowing black smoke out the rear like a diesel lol

Loved my Dakota but man that 3.9L V6 Magnum engine was HORRIBLE. So bad on fuel. In it's last days, it was going to need a ton of work to get it back to running normal and I figured I'd rather put that money towards a shiny new Tacoma. :)

Had a Taco '03 DCSB TRD. Great truck but the back seat was only big enough for little people and the short 5.5 bed was too short for practical use or to sleep in.
Also had a '05 F-150 Screw. Good truck overall. Had an engine light problem for 2 years until Ford finally resolved it. Just too big for my 3 car garage so I went back to a Taco; this time with a full back seat and long bed. My 2014 DCLB is same length or maybe an inch longer or so than the F150 DCSB but the width is what I didn't like in relation to my garage. Hard to get in and out of with another vehicle next to it...

Several of these. The taco is my first truck, although we own an Xterra too (technically, it is my wife's).
