My Dad passed away back in 1997 - spent some time where I have his ashes buried under our flagpole.

This was my "gift" from my wife. :)

It is a WWII vintage Soviet M91/30 infantry rifle manufactured in 1942 in the Izhevsk factory. It was originally a sniper rifle, the scope mount holes were later filled and ground down and the curved sniper bolt replaced with the regular straight bolt.

If it still shoots in a tight pattern, it will be my restoration project this summer and I'll return it to sniper configuration.

Once vompleted, it will look like this one - also an Izhevsk sniper that I have.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
All 7 of the Harry Potter books in paperback. Me and dad both love fantasy stories like that. I've read them all, but he's only seen the movies so has missed all the important parts! Books are always better than the movies!

I'm not a father. My father has been deceased for some years. So, I neither gave nor got, anything.

Spent the weekend at the Westin La Cantera Resort here in San Antonio... a whole lot of fun with my wife and kids! New cologne and 2 Columbia from wife, and homemade pictures from my kids as gifts.

Plus, the wife was especially... friendly. ;)

I gave my Dad a selection of books on U.S. Army leadership dating back to the early 1900s. He's a retired general officer and West Point grad ('51), so they were right up his alley. I also had delivered to him some authentic grade-A-fancy Vermont Maple Syrup (he was born on a maple syrup farm near Montpelier, VT).
