    No i dont think its weird at all to name a machine that i intend to use and maintain. Its a very intimate thing to work on your own machines. Hell the US military allowed pilots in WWII to paint designs and names on their planes.

    My 99 was named Pearl. I liked the name but it started because she had a shark emblem (think jesus fish) when I got her and I wanted a name that went with the beach/sea theme and she was blue. Blue horizon metallic to be exact, but I miss judged the color when I was looking online at first and thought she was blue pearl metallic. Hence Pearl.

    My 03 is lunar mist metallic colored and her name is Misti.

    Never seen it but I may try and check it out. I named it Bernard because it was the first purple vehicle I've ever owned and it reminded me of a certain purple dinosaur from back when my daughter was a 5 year old.

    I call mine Maria, (always done girl names. I really liked the new Gone in 60 seconds movie growing up). I came to this b/c I think Tacoma, Taco. I bet Maria would make a mean taco...yea. Still waiting for my blue truck to come around. I'm thinking Trinity(FM Matrix). B/c the bitch is ugly but she gets the job done (340k miles and going)

    anickname.com is a social community network website that allows a user to personify their mode of transportation, whether it is either an automobile, truck, car, boat, RV, motorcycle or any other transportation method.

    The structure of aNickName will allow a user to identify their vehicle much more easily to others. E.G. Instead of saying to someone "look up 2014 GMC", you could just tell them to look up the vehicle's nick name “lookup Betsy09 on aNickName”.

    ANickName can be very useful for insurance purposes or if you every want to sell your transport. You do not have to repeat yourself to every prospect.

    Users can be individuals, transportation dealerships, repair shops or similar

    Nickname for your Car, Vehicle, Show Car, Muscle Car, Antiique Car; Nickname for your Motorcylce; Nickname for your Watercraft, Yacht, Boat; Nickname for your Aircraft, Plane, Nickname for your RV, Recreational Vehicle; Nickname for your Truck;

    Hey guys, I tried searching the forum and couldn't find a "what did you name your tacoma" thread.
    Hope I'm not repeating anything.

    Got mine last week, tires wheels and struts are going on it right now so it's almost "alive"..... What will I name it?

    Does your taco have a name?
