37ish is MSRP after taking off the tube steps and vehicle shield on the one the dealer priced for me. I think the Raptor is in the low 40s but just like Tundras there are probably more incentives. I priced a 4x4 Tundra double cab and it has a $2500 rebate.

In am in a similar position to PK. Except mine is a 09. I was going to give it to my son next year but looking at resale value I decided to sell. Also, he really needs something with better MPGs. I believe that I am in a position of strength because I am in no hurry and happy with current vehicle.

Finally found a dealer in southern Ok that has 2 Baja's. They are about 2 hours from me. This dealer has the biggest inventory of 4x4s that I have seen. Seems like in Dallas they do not stock many and whenI find them they have Tx edition or other crap that I do not want. Sure would like to test drive one without driving 2 hours to do it.

A 1200 mile trip back to Texas would be the perfect break-in for a new engine!

My bad....I looked at the radio and it has the big LCD screen, so I assumed it was the upgraded stereo. Did they change the design of the stock /base radios where they all look like that now? Still.....$34K for a BAJA!

I thought these trucks might move a little quicker. 3 out of 4 that I started looking at 2 months ago are still in dealer inventory. Give it another month and the one I low balled may come calling. I missed a little bit of an opportunity with my dealer because for another $150 I could have had tube steps. The one with the tubes was 100 miles away and wrong color but he did not have to know that.

I got my 2013 DC Baja for $35,500. MSRP was north of $39k(Entune). Sticker is either around $37k without entune or $39k with for a DC. I saw DC's without entune listed for as low as $33,300. I was trying to get that deal when a local dealer offered to get me out of my 2010 Powerwagon for what I owed(best deal I got and it sat for a month on autotrader). Look around auto trader or cars.com for the best national deals and then use that price to deal locally.

$33,999 was my price. 2013 Black Baja 6-Speed, Access Cab. Northern Cal. No Entune, just touchscreen, no large "Baja" graphic. I'm ready to get it dirty but I'm worried about the whole "break-in" period. I've read a bunch of threads on it and it's enough to drive a person nuts! I'm going with the relax and enjoy it approach...

The Baja is just a bunch of stickers I mean I could build one for 1,000 on top of the amount I paid for my truck

You can build a TRD off-road with a much more capable suspension for less than what you pay to be able to say "it's a Baja". Bilstien C/O's and shocks GTFO for an additional 3 or 4k? It's called midtravel. I would rather an SR5 w/ open difs and mid travel than a baja with stickers, you can have the prestige. But, as others have said before it's what you want to spend your money on. I think the baja's look neet for a factory package.

No, you can't build one for $1000.

It's actually not just stickers. It's obviously not the best setup money can buy, but it is not typical blistein shocks added to a stock taco.

You're forgetting to add the extra cost of the Off-road package (and all it's good stuff like beefed up alt, outlet, diffs, etc), exhaust, rims, tires, and suspension re-alignment. Assuming you install everything yourself, then yes, you could probably do it for the same price as a Baja...and do it with the parts that you picked...but you'd be out of the OR package goodies. Either way, so what? That's not what this thread is about.

But don't forget that you also void your warranty and wasted a full weekend installing it all. As I see it, the point of a Baja is a more capable truck (that happens to look good too), with a warranty, and you don't have to mess with a thing. Not everyone want to mess with their toys. Some do. To each his own.
