But at the same time the avg American is travelling further to/from work 'cause houses get cheaper the further out you get so fuel has become more necessary than the 80's

I paid 3.89/gallon this morning before work. If anybody was in Washington D.C. today near the Capitol, I'm sure you heard the horns from the truckers protesting the high gas prices as they looped around. Funny thing is, they were just wasting gas driving around.

I can remember when it was 19.9 (cents) cents and on a bucks worth you could cruise all night...man, how things change.

Man it sucks to hear what you guys are paying...I paid 3.29...still cost me $62 to fill her up though; however I did drive with the light on for a little while. I guess I will just start saving the taco for fun and riding the motorcycles to work.

I think that most people's gripe is how rapidly that gas has gone up over the past couple of months. (I know thats my problem) Also the affects of gas going up is going to start showing up in everything we purchase as well. Also the fact that the oil companies are posting record breaking profits, so something just isn't right.

Just be sure that it's "unleaded" fuel you're filling up with. I have a friend who was doing the same thing but the farm was using "regular leaded fuel". He clogged his catalytic converter and blew up his motor.

I'm not even sure if "regular" is formulated anymore. Just trying to give you a heads-up.

    This is probably a non-issue.

Okay, I did not go to costco yesterday when 87 was $3.79. I went today and 87 was $3.819, WOW. Soooo if your in the san jose area the best gas price today is Costco @ 1601 Coleman ave $3.819 for 87 octane. There was a tanker there right when I left, I don't know if that delivery will change the price but good luck.

I'm not going to the beach this weekend thats for sure!
