Paid 13000. For my 2003 xcab 5 speed 4wd TRD sr5 with towing package. Sounds like a lot, im in north carolina looked for 5 months and find one that wasnt $17000 with 95k on it. Clean as could be interior looked new had 100,000 miles on it. Went from 8 mpg on 35's with headers, true duals, comp can, holley double pumper, and shift kit. To 20 mpg and tires half the cost. Love my Tacoma

I have a 2010 regular cab 2WD. Sticker was a little over $17,000 new back in September 2009. Traded a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder for it. My dad is a very good negotiator. After the trade-in and the negotiation, final price was like $14,900.

No, the convenience package is remote keyless entry, cruise control, radio controls on the wheel, and a rear sliding window.

I own a '14 AC with the convenience package.

Hmm, maybe Toyota changed things. Did your pickup come with color-matched overfenders?

2012 used silver Access cab 4x4, manual, 28,000 miles; $22,000.

Looked at quite a few in 3 different states with just mileage and color differences. Low was negotiated down to $19,000 (2013 black, 58,000 miles), high was $24,500 and they wouldn't budge on price (2013 red, 21,000 miles). Didn't feel comfortable with the $19,000 one (it had been in a major crash) and ended up just buying the best deal other than that one that I could find.

I did consider a new base 4x4 access cab which are available locally for $24,985, but ended up liking the SR5 better.

Honestly this is more than I cared to spend, and more than I really think this truck is worth, but I wanted it.

I can relate to your thoughts exactly.

However, whenever I think I overpaid for a car I think about it in this way......lets say we over paid by $1,000. If we keep the truck for 5-8 years that mean we over pay by about $100 - $200 per year. Since we love our trucks in the long run its just a small price to pay.

over pay...under pay....you win some you lose some.....as long as we enjoy our trucks.
