So I've been debating on getting a 19' with zero down 0% interest but I've made up my mind and i'm just going to wait to get a 2020.
Link to original thread: Is this a good deal? 19’ TRD Pro

What did you guys pay for your 2020 TRD Pro?
    1. Pretax price?
    2. Drive out Price?
    3. Interest rate?
    4. Incentives?
I'm in the Houston, TX area so if you guys can recommend a good dealership I would Appreciate it!

I think it will vary by region for sure, but if I was set on getting a 20 pro local here in SoCal I would have to come with terms with paying MSRP. Most if not all of the local dealers put an “adjusted market value” sticker on top of the Toyota window sticker. You may be able to negotiate down off MSRP if you live in a region that these trucks aren’t super popular.

Gulf States and SE Toyota are both horrid to deal with............. unless they have exactly what you want on the lot AND they really want to sell it.

In the world of internet, I'd shop elsewhere and go get it.

At the very least email all the dealers with the exact listing of what you want in the distance you are willing to go, and see how they respond.

BTW, 0% interest isn't a thing. There is no free money.

You just pay more for the vehicle, and they get all the bucks in the price. The bad thing about that is if you are later positioned to pay it off early, you don't save anything by doing so.

I think the Purchase price won't be too hard to negotiate. But i have to get a good interest rate. I was offered 0% on a 19' but the mid gen refresh on the 2020's has convinced me to wait.

If you are fretting over rate, that means you're fretting over payment amount, meaning you need to reconsider how much you are spending.

At least consider getting a pre-approved loan amount from a solid CU. You'll get a 'real' interest rate, and a handle of your credit worthiness.

If the CU comes up short, Toyota may 'make it happen', but at your expense. Salesmen love buyers who need 'to be able to make the payment', 'cause they can get there lots of ways. None of which are in the buyers best interest.

Not sure how that makes any sense lol. If you don't think interest rate pays a factor in a decision like this i'm not sure what to tell you.... A simple google search can tell you that the difference in 0% to 3.5% rate can be thousands of dollars on the same price vehicle.

The reason people get shafted isn't the purchase cost it IS the interest rate. I have great credit so i i'm going to get "free money" or whatever you call it.

1st, you are speaking of the cost of the truck plus the loan, not the price of the truck.

Of course your Google is correct, IF it's the same price and term either way. But if it's a Toyota finance, odds are high it won't be.

    Because

    So. Another approach.

Get preapproved elsewhere. Like a CU.

Negotiate your best deal, based on your own financing. Get the number solid, one you know is an ok deal.

With it all in writing, tell them you've changed your mind, and would like to consider their 0% offer. Odds are you'll be told no way. If they say sure, you left $ on the table in the price of the truck.

    Good luck with your shopping!

    none so far.
I've been shopping for a 2020 Pro in Southern California for the past week. I've offered to come to the dealership same day to purchase if they would remove their "Markup" and they pass every time. The best deal i've found is Longo Toyota at MSRP... so frustrating.

Anyone else in Southern California or even remotely close able to get anything better than MSRP?

Mudguards, 3D tailgate lettering, step bumpers, MESO LED tail lights, front facing camera. Coming soon: LED headlights and SuperCharger.
I can't say I have had that experience. If you shop around you'll find a dealer willing to work with you. I just got my 2020 TRD Sport 4x4, listed at 43k for 37k OTD. Might just be because of the virus thing. Put 10k down so with extra costs I am financing 28k. Got a lower than expected APR too because, well I have really REALLY good credit.

If you have really good credit you should have gone for the 0%apy. I just got a 2020 TRD Sport 4x4 for 37k as well. I payed 6k down and got 0% for 60 months. (Full term). I don't understand why people are so afraid of the dealer, it's not a scam, you can literally take my loan amount (31k after down) and divide it by 60 and that's my monthly payment. No gimmicks, no extra fees nothing. It was that or 1k off the price and it didn't add up. I'm positive a CU couldn't have done better.

    OP's question is

What did you pay for your 2020 TRD PRO

Toyota thinks and plays like the "Pro" models are in a whole different level then the Sport or Off Road trucks. The Pro's never go for much less then MSRP and Toyota doesn't offer 0% interest rate on the Pro unfortunately.

Putting money down on a 0% loan is not typically advisable. Since it's 0%, it doesn't save you any money since your not paying interest. It lowers your monthly, but it's typically better to keep cash in your pocket when you can.

My understanding was that without the down I offered I wouldn't have qualified. I talked with the financial department, my local bank and my credit union, not very many people qualify for those 0 percent loans and if you do you'd be advised to take the offer. Having a considerable down payment shows you're a serious buyer among other things, these dealers waste tons of time running credit reports on people who just aren't worth it so it's a way to maximize output of sales.
