And thats all that matters, can't take the money with you, but now you know for the next truck, though I doubt we ever go back to anything besides MSRP in the future.

I kind of agree that we are no longer going to see huge money under msrp, I think dealers have found the sweet spot between supply/demand/and overhead. But only time will tell. I believe used cars will drop but new cars will continue the msrp trend.

    Work in progress...
I traded for my Tacoma. I will have to see if I can find a photo of my trade in...
I had a really nice little Ford Focus. I miss the Focus some times but that's how it goes.

Same, just like before used cars will be less than new, whereas right now some models are more than new, but I think manufacturers now know they can maximize profit by not over filling lots and dealers by not heavily discounting. The status norm used to be 10% off MSRP easy on our trucks, some of us self included could weasel 15% off, but those times are gone and Ford already alluded to this moving forward. Whats alarming is pricing at MSRP, before $60k+ on a loaded fullsize was fine cause you usually could get 10% or more off sticker, now that MSRP is the norm that price is a hard pill to swallow. I was looking at new Tundras and $60k for a decent equipped SR5 or Limited is rough.

Ordered my new SR a couple of weeks ago, msrp. Just from pictures of my 2012 SR5 with a blown head gasket/warped head, they gave me 9k trade-in.

December 28, 2019 I walked out the dealership with my fully loaded 4x4 TRD DCLB Sport - taxes, fees, etc. $36850. MSRP on it was $43775. Oh that did include my 2002 TRD Off Road with 213k miles on it and a blown head gasket, trade in.
Guess prices of trucks have gone up some. Good luck with you new truck!

Thanks, not just trucks, every Toyota vehicle right now is MSRP or more. That kinda makes buying easier for me, all I do is find a MSRP dealer and start the buying process

Bought my 21 Sport 4x4 MT (with Tech package) for 36.5 before tax back in March. Last week dealer called offering me 44K cash for it with 10,000 miles on it. Insane.

I haven't posted here recently. I wanted an Electric lime manual. I got offered one at MSRP.. I took it, thinking I'll drive it until I find a manual. Some dealers still honor msrp. But you need to call around. Here is a spec. My dealer was Erin. She knows trucks, and is a straight shooting toyota getter.

Must be bull shit Friday. Dealers are always offering to buy peoples used vehicles back for 8 thousand more than they were paid for it when new.

I prefer MT also. I got the TRD OR, Barcelona Red. I was lucky that I got it as soon as I did. 3.5 months for the manual. The Barcelona Red is a more mainstream color or at least it is in my area. I don't see a lot with the electric lime. I'll cross my fingers for you, but Electric Lime with a MT might be scare. Either way, sexy truck!

Wow! You waited 3.5 months for the manual? I should be counting my lucky stars then. Once I decided to buy a NEW Tacoma (first week of January), I put the word out to a few dealers. I'd say in about just over a week, I got calls for two. One was OR and the other was Sport. Both Barcelona Red, and both with similar accessories. Only $30 difference between the two. I ultimately went with Sport because it was a trim I hadn't had before. I did have to pay $500 markup for the local one, but it saved me a trip up North and I suppose it came with some stuff that ultimately I didn't need but at least it wasn't the $2100 markup they originally came at me with.

They're hard to come by in my area. I had to put down a $1000 non-refundable deposit for the preference request. I requested it end of July, and got it early November. I just got a call from one of the other dealerships that I enquired at. They just got one like I wanted. What is that?...6 almost, 7 months? I'm glad they were able to get it soon for you. Some consolation, since I put down a deposit the dealership locked in the price, so even though the price was higher when it came, I still got it for the price that we originally agreed to.

    $55,300

Dealer had a $7k market adjustment, and they charge for winterization because this is interior Alaska.

ultimately though they still paid me several thousand dollars because my truck I traded in was paid off and worth more than that.
