Perhaps. Search kept blowing up when looking with GA as central point.

I keep toying with the idea of my next truck being a manual, then I remember I regularly drive in ATL bumper to bumper traffic ...

I've done that in an MT and it sucks all the fun out of owning a MT...

Since I have a RWD 6MT funcar to drive when I'm not going to be sitting in traffic, I get my fun fix.

Side note - both kids got an old MT as their first car.
Son 'cuz everyone needs to know how to drive stick, daughter 'cuz same - plus every young lady needs to be able to drive her date's car home if he's inebriated

What 6MT fun car do you have?

    I'm in a 2022 6MT BMW M3, with buckets and full titanium throughout :D

Okay, mine is an interesting bit.

In May bought a "24 Tacoma TRD Off-road iForceMax 4K Miles Sticker ~57K.
Toyota dealer sales price online ~$52K. Talked the dealer down to $47,100 with an OTD 49,478
Drove about 5K miles, added TRD skid plate, TRD Pro grille, Ceramic Coat, Mud flaps and other little bits here and there.
Sold it yesterday at a different dealer for $54K.

I'm looking at a 2025 TRD PRO to also use a VSSP. Employee discount extended to family it's a pretty good discount tons of rules but mostly $3k+ off of dealer invoice cost if they are participating dealers.
I'm looking at a few opportunities:

    Dealer1
. Has me at ~63K OTD
    Including:
    Towing Tech pack
    Tailgate Insert Black
    Door scuff protector
    OEM Roof rack
    Lifetime powertrain

Dealer2. Has me at ~66K OTD
    Spray Liner
    Bed Scene Lighting
    Tailgate Insert Black
    Clear Paint Protection
    Screen protector
    Cable charger kit
Toyota Protection (Window Tint, Lock Lug Nuts, & All Weather Mats) Can't remove option.

Funny enough, dealer2 doesn't have the truck on site, but states they are outsourcing to a partner dealer (dealer3) 5/6hrs away (I looked up the VIN it's in a city 30mins away -not sure if it was unknown or a tactic)
I called dealer3 directly, and for the Exact same truck, states they can not use the VSSP discount, so the exact same truck it bought through them is 69,831 states they can remove an appearance package $1,298 which was never stated by dealer2, so OTD would be $71,727 and they would lower it to $71,000 OTD... if you're following it's the same exact truck from Dealer2.

I'm leaning towards dealer 2, because dealer1 stated they can not add the bed liner, nor bed scene lighting because these have to be Port Installed, stated they would have to charge me labor to see if they could install Predator Steps since the TRD Pros have the Rocker Protector, (saw on here on guy removed those and added predator steps, so not too worried about that.)

    Anywho, curious on thoughts/advice.

Dealer 2 won’t be able to trade for the truck now that you’ve inquired on it most likely. Unless they have something alike to go back or owned by same company.

Already in the burbs but regularly have to dive into the depths of traffic unfortunately.

4th gen Miata soft top. I had a 335i convertible for years but got tired of replacing run flat tires and grew nervous about potential issues with the complicated hard top mechanisms.

Unfortunately not. I've never encountered a dealer who could even get close to matching a Carvana offer. I was actually surprised at how close this dealership came. I had it priced at two other Toyota dealerships - one offered $21,000 and the other $18,600.

Paid MSRP of the model I built on the Toyota website. Truck came with a little over $500.00 more of options the way Toyota built it so you could say I got it below MSRP. I didnt bother to negotiate as finding a dealer willing to use one of their allocations to request the build I wanted was hard enough and there were only four available models nationwide at the time that matched what I wanted. Those four models were 2024 and fell into the transmission TSB range so I passed and waited on a 2025.

Im guessing you saved enough on the sales tax by trading in to come out ahead overall.

Exactly. Factoring in the sales tax, it ends up being ~$1,400 better to sell to Carvana.

    Seriously debating this one:
    1. Year, trim, color, transmission, bed: 2025 TRD Off Road, Underground 5'
    2. MSRP(before dealer add ons): $46970
    3. Options: Spray-on bed liner, TOYOGUARD, All Weather Mats, PP, Phone Cable BS: $2075
    4. Cost of dealer add ons- (tint, floor mats, nitrogen, etc): Removed ADDS, none.
    5. Price before Tax Title License (TTL) including incentive/rebate: $41,773
    6. Discount 1-(#5/#2)*100=% off MSRP): 11.07%
    7. Incentive (rebate/customer cash): $500
    8. Price Out The Door (OTD): $42,895.50 ($1122 taxes, tags, fees)
    9. Trade in vehicle(year, make, model, trim): N/A selling to Carvana - 2023 Bronco 2 door, $37k
    10. Kelley blue book trade-in value
    11. Trade allowance(amount given for trade): NA
    12. Date purchased: NA
    13. State purchased: SC
This is a Southeast Toyota dealer but they are being pretty transparent, didn't mess with the $1000 ADDS bs. 10% off TMSRP plus $500 rebate if I finance (with no pre-payment penalty). Thoughts?

What state are you in? These prices would have me interested in the PRO again. My local dealer has one, its so hot. Black on red.

Comparing 10 year old cars to new trucks...because there are so many of us that were undecided what to purchase.

"If you want a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, expect to pay $62,700 for a coupe, and $65,000 for a convertible, both in good condition, says Hagerty's Valuation Tools."

Seems like just yesterday that people were bragging about paying “just MSRP” on a Gen3. And most in 2022 assumed a mark-up was standard. Toyota’s current oversupply of inventory is very much intentional, so crazy discounts will only be around until they’re not. Might bookmark this thread b/c in another couple years, many won’t believe these deals ever happened.

Okay and so what? Some of us own a truck because we use it as a truck. Can't haul much building or landscaping stuff in a 'vette.

Hmm, I seem to remember something occurred in 2020 which created an unprecedented multi-year impact on global supply chains and manufacturing.

Have you so quickly forgotten, now that we've been kinda back to normal for a bit?

My 2017 third gen was a little over 7% off TSRP when I bought it new - and that was getting the dealer to have one configured with the port/distributor options I wanted, not something that'd been on the lot for a while.
