This thread is done lmao. It’s like anytime the word “pro” comes up, insecurities start flaring. dude, we get some people can’t afford/aren’t willing to pay for certain things. That doesn’t mean the people who can afford/ ARE willing to pay should lose the right to discuss literally anything about it.

This thread seemed to be a measure of “how much is a pro going for in this state?” And instead we have insecure people reminding themselves that they made the “right” decision in what they bought.

Because I didn’t cross shop Limited. I only cross shopped Pro and Off-Road so that’s what I base my comments on.

If you have an issue with Limited, I’ll leave that to you.

To Be totally honest this is the first time I've ever said anything about a PRO. Not my thing but last time I checked it was ok to say that. Anyway sorry to bunch up your panties. Have a great night.

Well I was going to share the Costco price for a Pro but you can forget that. Just kidding I like the pro rims but I wasnt willing to spend 5k more than my off road to get them.

You keep throwing words like “insecure” as if you were Dr Phil.

I’m relatively new to this forum, so I don’t know anything about people’s animosity towards Pro.

But that opening post was very poorly worded. It may very well have intended what you think it intends, but it rubs me —and apparently others— the wrong way.

Regardless of what truck you own or not, at the end of the day, we all have to choose our words to say what we actually mean. Especially to maintain civility on an open forum.

When I test drove my 2017 Sport, I saw a Pro on the lot and said to the sales man that it looks pretty damn cool. He stated it was $50kkk and laughed my ass off and questioned that there are actually folks out there that actually will spend 50k on a fucking Tacoma?? He didn't think it was funny and said they sell everyone of them that they get in stock. I still think I over paid at 32,4xx for my Sport DCSB MT, it is just a truck. As one state above, it is a 25,000 truck with 25k of Toyota add-ons.... Overall, they obviously sell, so too each there own.

EDIT - this was Dec 2016 in Manchester, NH

I do not have a problem with someone who wasn't willing, able or wanted to pay for a Pro. Who cares?

I don't have the time (it would be the 4th time) to upgrade it to close to where I would like.

My problem is that every time someone brings up a thread on this trim we have someone who decides they need to crash it with their opinion about how we've wasted our money. I don't care about your fucking opinion about it.

2015 was limited production sure, Toyota even confirmed the production numbers but its way more than that now, freaking dealer here gets at least 10 every year if not more, far from exclusive. Top trim, nice truck sure, but not some hard to get in exclusive club, its not a Ford GT.

Yep, with any other forum, mod police here and lots of people that can't take any criticism or opinion other than their own, never seen so many members banned for silly things and keyboard warriors all in one place, still a great forum if you can look outside the nonsense, hate saying it but it was a totally different enviornment prior to 2016.

It wouldn’t be the same without all the nonesense, though.

So far I have learned that non-Pro owners are insecure, and Pro owners get easily ruffled.

So insecure, I mean I have had 8 Tacomas in 11 years, maybe I just needed a Pro all along, must be it.

    Addressing your paragraphs in order-

    1. Someone validating their decision unprompted is a clear and obvious sign of insecurity. You don’t have to convince us you bought the right truck, it doesn’t affect anyone but you, nor should anyone care. I think jeep wranglers are overpriced and a waste of money, so I didn’t buy one. But I surely won’t go on a Jeep forum and justify my decision to people who made the opposite decision to make me feel better about my own. Hopefully you understand what I’m saying.

    2. Literally your first post on this thread was shittalking pros.

    3. See point number 1

At the end of the day, WHO CARES what truck someone else bought. People have different price points and justifications for the decisions they make.

NorCal had $9-10k market adjustments on Pro’s until about February. Now can be had for MSRP and possibly below (I have a 2019 DCLB Tech/Prem) so no longer in market.
