What did you think the Toyota logo was?

It's a constellation, ya? Commonly referred to as the "Seven Sisters" in the west.
One of them is super dim in the sky so the logo only has 6 of the stars.
That's what I learned a long time ago anyway.

 

I thought it was a design Toyota came up with to put on the front of their vehicals.

Those were the good ol' days, before companies paid millions to consulting firms to come up with logos and slogans.

 

A bunch of zeros that they added to the price of their vehicles or maby what they have invested in 1 by the time it hits the lot,but mostly a drawing from 1 of the owners children

Toyota can now claim what it wants, but the current logo was first introduced in the USA and only later used elsewhere. Thus, the logo was clearly designed with the American market in mind and plays heavily on the Japanese stereotype of American cowboys and bulls - think of a Texan running around with bull horns as a hood ornament on his pickup (as in the television series Dallas). The logo was designed to resemble the head of a bull.

I thought the emblem had all of the letters in toyota within it, just a clever placement of them all making what we see as the emblem. I know you can certainly find them all there.

 

I thought it was just some random ovals, and I still think that.

 

when i pulled the emblem off the plastic grill, it reminds me of a vulva..
