I guess I'd say not my choice but it was......my 08' 2.7 5sp went to my son after his German curse (03 GTI) said no more. I had that truck for 10 years, 102,000 absolute trouble free miles, it was either going to stay in the family or I would keep it. Bought a 2017 Toyota certified DC Sport, no regrets!

Sold my 2004 Civic SI with 376,00 km to make room for the truck I wanted for 20 years! I gave this little gem a motor upgrade, clutch, and custom exhaust cut out. I think the exhaust is what sealed the deal for the kid that bought it! :burnrubber:

I traded my 2016 Frontier extended cab Desert Runner. It ran great, fit and finish kind of sucked though. And it was paid off.
Probably would have kept it if I hadn’t seen my Tacoma sitting on the display in front of the Toyota dealership. I wasn’t even shopping for it, it just caught my eye and I traded the next day

2005 F250 Powerstroke Lariat. Had a 1996 F250 which was way better truck before that but got hit by a kid in a Mustang on the highway Christmas Day after Katrina. Big chunks of iron and would pull anything, but More truck than I need these days. Traded it in and it paid for more than half of my TRD OR. Guess they sell easy since last year for straight diesel without the additive system crap. It was extra clean though. Got 24mpg pulling or not.

Downside to diesel is every little thing cost $1000. Had brake caliper trouble a lot. The rubber body mounts disintegrated, AC sucked. Super charger replacement, etc., etc., worth it I guess if you really need a diesel but my heavy hauling days are thankfully over.

No kids. Just me, the wife, and our dog. The Tundra was kind of an impulse buy. I really didn't need the space or anything like that and it's a big truck for daily driving. My wife really liked the Tundra because it was big and comfortable, but I started missing the Tacoma pretty quick. If I had kids, it would've been a tougher call. The extra space in the Tundra would be useful. On the other hand, we use my wife's 4Runner for most trips and such anyway, so I may have still jumped back to the Tacoma.

I had a 2005 Tundra 4x4 TRD OR - kept it 3 years...like an idiot I sold it! I LOVED that truck - great size, drove great and I loved the back window that went all the way down (with the sunroof it gave so much wind).

I bought it new, had the STX option package which was actually really nice. First 3 years and about 40 miles went pretty well but after that it just sucked. Starter crapped out at 51k with no warning and just did it again in June at 105k. Upper ball joints twice, rear rotors and pads twice, front rotors, pads, and calipers twice. Headlight housings changed once under warranty and again last year due to water entering. Had a rear u-joint break and let me sit while still under warranty. Inexplicable issue with cruise control they could never find that just as inexplicably went away later. If it had rained overnight and temps below 50 when you hit the button to turn on cruise control it would blow the horn! Rusted out radiator supports I had a friend weld repair. Floors starting to rust out, I fixed a fist sized hole last year. Replace 4 of 8 coils over past few years. Yeah, POS edition all the way! Oh, almost forgot, clutch packs in limited slip rear replaced once under warranty and we're going out again.

2012 Outback, with a 6sp manual. 235/75r15, 1” spring lift, and a home made hitch mount swing away tire carrier.

Dealership offered $1875 for it. Posted on Craigslist, and sold it for $9k within 24 hours.

Traded my 2006 sport 6 speed with an ARB in the rear. Had 92,000 miles. I had it for 6 years.

    20141114_145622.jpg

My 2016 is a better vehicle in every way. I learned a lot about what not to do to the truck with the 06, and it has saved me a ton of money and headaches.

I feel you. Love my 2012 TRD sport but after the 3 inch OME lift and 33s (which look awesome) I realized I would be fine with some beefy tires and calling it a day. Oh well, I’ll know if I get a third gen some day
