Yes, ultimate wax first, then the ceramic over that resulting in high sheen and great protection.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Wash, clay bar, isopropyl alcohol wipe down (70% mixed 50-50 with water), GTechniq CSL, GTechniq EXO. Takes me approx 12 hours due to prep, door jambs, under hood, taking off wheels and doing them etc. Sealant is an hour per coat. I do this once every two years and the truck beads water like there is no tomorrow. Washing is easier and all I do to dry it is use the backpack blower... water rolls right off. No towel or chamois needed which = less scratches to paint. Watch for their 20-30% off sales and stock up. It’s awesome stuff and imo far easier and longer lasting than paste and synthetic waxes as well as other sealants like Klasse.

I owned/operated a chain of auto parts stores for years and one of the benefits was having the opportunity to test about every car care product on the market.
Always seemed to gravitate back to Meguiars products.

Had the dealer use their hard simonize glass coat on my truck a year ago...still looks as good as it left them. Not a single paint chip yet, which has left me amazed. Even paint smudges from other parked car doors hitting the truck were able to be rubbed out. I wish this coating was available back in the day.

Floor mats count? It’s a work in progress.....
This stuff is great. I also use the ceramic 3-in-1 detailer after washes. I’ve been impressed for the price and ease of use.

Is there any special type of prep needed, prior, for the use of ceramic products? I use Zymol products (liquid clay bar or cleanse, waxes etc) and love them, but curious about ceramics.

I'm still on the fence if I want to do it myself, or take it to a place. The recommended ceramic coater in my area uses Feynlab coating. Anyone heard of this?

I highly recommend The last coat 2.0. It's a very great easy to apply product. But, For a pro quality Ceramic coating (photo’s above) look into CQuartz Carpro. It is a pro quality ceramic coating but you can buy it and DIY like I did. I applied it to my truck and the results are amazing!

I have never heard of it and I have been detailing and keeping up with products for the past 15years.
It's not hard. If you want something that will give you a year but easy to apply carpro makes cquartz lite. It's not as durable but much more user friendly on install. Honestly most coatings are easy to install and polishing is not required. As long as you clay and get the paint squeaky clean and smooth then wipe down with isopropyl or a panel wipe from a company

Wow, that is a really nice finish. How complicated or difficult was it to apply?

it took me probably a total of 16 hours of work over a couple days. Starting with washing, clay bar, 2 stage polishing, cleaning, applying coating. It was a ton of work, but truck still looks fantastic and is well protected for a few years. Was my first attempt and I was very pleased. I park outside 24/7 so I’d say the effort was worth it. I will re apply again eventually.

Physically applying coatings are easy. But the prep work is what takes the time and work and creates the shine/finished product.

Turtle wax seal n shine Gtechniq CLS topped with EXO v4 Sorry, I never had any videos when I had Cquartz UK 3.0 on the truck. its properties were alot like Optimum gloss coat. I will say of all the coatings Cquartz was my least favorite as it was the worst one on installation.

I'm a big Meguiar's fan. Check out their hybrid spray on ceramic wax - works like a charm

Griots 3-1 Ceramic Wax - Best I have used to date, and I used to own and operate a detailing business for over 10 years. Griots is what I use on my personal cars, the 3-1 on my Subaru has is on 8 months and still beads and shines like I just applied it. for the price, cannot be beat. Ease of use and longevity.
