I only use Chemical Guys products on our 3 Toyota’s...Taco, Highlander and Corolla SE. Easy to use, available and look great.

Great video but did it say they were from 2008? I would image new tech has come out by then. Maybe I misheard that date.

Any ceramic type coating for rubber seals/window trim/that roof molding piece? Not necessarily one of those spray coatings but a dedicated product specifically.

Edit: didn’t mean rubber seals like between door and cab but anything rubber that’s exposed to the exterior and uv

    I've been using "Gummi Pflege" for years on my Audis (the front windshield trim is rubber and would always dry out/show hard water spots);

all the spray cermaic sealants and the true coatings work on those. Gtecniq has a coating just for exterior plastics if you are looking for that. I think its C4 or C5 one is for wheels other is for exterior trim

I’ve got an appt with a pro to get this (product link) done. Now he’s discounting everything since the truck is brand new, but he’s going to do a full detail, full paint correction, etc... (as if it weren’t new) then apply and then letting it sit for 24 hours, etc.

My question: as someone who has owned one of these business, any knowledge of this particular product brand first hand compared to others on the market?

And for others, no - this is one of those things I just don’t have the patience to do myself at the moment.

(Edit: I watched the video that showed the 9H spray from Adam’s, which is in his top 5. I think this is a level above that one as it’s not the spray, it’s the 10H stuff.)

That adams coating is pretty good. I hope since its new he isnt doing any more than a polish and not a full compound and polish. No need for all that and removing paint that doesnt need to be removed. PLus extra money spent that is not needed

Just got done giving the truck a good bath and applying my Bead Maker I got in yesterday. The stuff sucks in terms of durability. You might get a month out of it but the gloss and slickness it makes the paint makes it worth it. So if you already have a good base layer of something its a great topper to really make the paint pop. I didnt like it when I first started using it last year. I grew to like it for what it is slickness and gloss tropper

I’ll check it out thanks- what kind of lifespan are you seeing with this?
I was looking for something more permanent or longer lasting (uv protection) than the spray coatings but probably will still use this as whole truck until I spend some time on a truer coating
I have the c4 for plastics that I still haven’t tried but I bought that to use on the hood deflector piece etc. I also assumed rubber but I thought I seen somewhere that you don’t want to use on rubber. I can’t remember where and nothing showed on the bottle/box. In fact it doesn’t even say plastic, just trim. I’ve tried contacting the company twice asking what product for rubber and no response.
I thought ceramic coatings would be like a universal thing but each component is marketed to a different product (paint/glass/trim etc) or is that really just marketing bullshit and what works for paint will work for glass and so on?

I apply it to the windshield trim after every car wash (more to get rid of the hard water stains), so unfortunately I can't tell you how long it lasts if you're just conditioning the rubber trim.

Sorry for the delay in the reply. I don't have a pic strait on. Here's one I took while doing a little clay work on the truck. Hope it will do.

Those hood decals are cool, and the scoop too.

Today I washed, clay barred, washed again, and applied Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax.

Looks pretty good, maybe the Ultimate Wax looks a little better. I do think that the ceramic products def defend against bird shit stains better than anything else.

Question: Do I need to use the Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer Spray with the Hybrid Cermaic Spray Wax product?
Or can I use regular detail spray?
