Some of the pro trim trucks got those trd off road bed decals from the factory by mistake. Toyota was pretty quick to correct it.

 

Here is the VIN description. It says SR5 but again, I'm not sure they were all base SR5 then just upgraded. Maybe it's duried further in the document. I'm sure it's an OR at this point but between the upgrades, VIN lookup, and decals, it was a bit confusing.

 

I have a TRDOR but my ins.co says it's an SR5 going by the VIN.

 

That is correct. All SR5s, Off Roads and Sports show they are SR5's via the vin but have the OR or Sport package installed on top of the SR5 truck.

 

has that changed, I know my Sr5 comes back as a base, so much so that when i called insurance for the first time they asked about all kids of badges and trim level/packages
