^^I believe your thinking of Fredericksburg. OP if you are doing Gruene Hall, Fredburg is only about 20 minutes from there

If you're in downtown Austin and not totally full of Bar-B-cue, the Iron Works at Red River @ Cesar Chavez is real good. Also, if you opt out of watching the bats at sunset and want to venture out west of the city a couple of mile, the Oasis has a great sunset view and good drinks. (the lake is horribly low but it's still a great view) They serve Mexican food that (IMO) is ho-hum, but nacho’s and your favorite drink make for a great sunset view ~ unless it's overcast then don't bother with the ride.

Just a couple blocks north of the Capitol is free visitor parking which is in between the Capitol building and the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum. If you have time, seeing both of these are really cool. Years ago they allowed you to go all the way up to the top of the Capitol rotunda next to the star – don’t allow it now-a-days, but that is cool.

You’re hitting all the best spots – you guys enjoy and be safe.

On your way through Waco, TX, stop at The Big O. Have a chicken fried steak and a Big O beer. Before you leave out of DFW spend some time in Grapevine at Bass Pro Shop and have some BBQ at Bone Daddy's or Big Racks. There is alot freeway constuction and the traffic is gonna suck but it's well worth it. Have Fun.:)

Ummm... go screw yourself? I was just wondering if any of our suggestions were taken and enjoyed. Seems like maybe you should go fuck yourself.
