My wife is stuck on me getting these rims for my 09 tacoma v6 DC 4wd. Its a speedway blue with black fender flares. So whaddya say? going with a 17x9 and looking at putting 265's on the stock suspension. Well will they work?

i think those wheels are badass man. i think they'd look better on a bsp tacoma, but they will look pretty cool on swb also, especially if you have some other black accents, such as emblems and black nerf bars/sliders/tube steps.

Im still undecided yet. I like the classic from Mickey Thompson cause it seems to never look bad or grow old. Ive got half my buddies saying Yes dude those fit you perfect. And the others say when are they gonna get old? Ive heard from discount tire near my hometown that these rims wont be out till Feb. Im just trying to get some ideas till then. I like the blacked out matte finish rims so if you guys have any ideas now would be a great time. I wish I could get by with a 16" but I hear that it cant be done.

Talk her out of it. Once you take the plunge, you have to live with it or take the financial hit to change direction after the fact.

I think a lot of other rims would look far better on your truck. I would most certainly NOT put the black rims on the speedway blue truck, (especially) though to be honest, i wouldn't put black rims on any truck.

You have black flares, I'm assuming you have the black bumpers, grill also?
So yeah a black wheel would look good.
The motometal 17x9 with 265/70/17's fit, that is what I have w/the 957B. Check out my gallery.
You want a 16in black rim check out procomp 7089 matte black, they fit.

Thanks, I love them also, changed the entire look/stance of the truck. I have the suspension TSB, but otherwise it is stock. When the weather warms up I'm going to debadge, so I'll lose all chrome except the symbol on the front. I have solid black wet okole seat covers to complete the blacked out on the inside ;).

Good luck with your wheel choice.
