I work on all kinds of stuff. Clean and dirty utilities mostly.
It's interesting but there's a bit of pressure. One little 3 second blip in some systems can cause millions of dollars of product to be discarded. Got to be paying attention to what you do....................

I work for a Wholesale tire company. 50+ hours every week gets old, but I get weekends off.
Plus on the side I build picnic tables and restore & sell old woodstoves as hobbies that happen to earn some extra $.

It's official, i'll be leaving my career in municipal recreation (planning city events that host from 200-20,000 visitors, lots of marketing, plus some involvement with special needs sports leagues) and returning to graduate school. The school is paying my tuition and my graduate assistantship is providing a decent stipend on top of that.

After two years of that i'll try to work in campus recreation and then eventually return for a PhD and become a wise old professor.

    I work here:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaNj9mzzpq4

Been with Dunn for 17 years and have been the Training Coordinator for the company for the last 6 or 7 years. Started in the yard sweeping and cleaning when I was 16. I design, coordinate and train with the help of my staff all of our product, service, software and processing etc. A better title might be process development or operations manager. I also manage our fleet of delivery trucks, drivers and dispatchers, we have about 30-35 trucks and manage our estimating team. Technically I'm a "Support Leader" which basically means the Manager of corporate entity unlike being the manager of a location. We have 6 support leaders: Training, Product Manager, CP Office Manager, Facilities, IT and HR. Mike, the youngest guy in the video, is our President and my direct boss.

We've gone through and are going to some major changes in the last few years. From what was the good 'ol boys lumber company to a much more progressive and technology based company. One of a very few lumber yards who have all of their product priced online and allow online sales. New website rolled out a couple of weeks ago.
